The response from the vendor is poor, at bestDo I have to tell them to do an entry inspection each time I call about mice? This home was built by us brand new years agoThe point I am trying to make is that each visit was SUB-STANDARD serviceSetting traps is easyFinding a way to stop the entry is what I would be paying the fees forAnd to her point, I could not enter any date before the one I submittedThere were a total of visits over YearsEach time except the initial one, the service did not have them try to determine the source of where the mice are getting inSo if you don't fix the root cause, any person can put peanut butter on a mouse paper or other type of trap themselves to catch themI don't want them coming into my house, and there is no reason why they shouldSo when I paid them each and every time, it was SUB-STANDARD service for determining possible entry points.Their response is indicative of their attitude and customer service to deliver a service of quality.I am not surprised, but just sorely disappointed in their lack of customer service and delivery

The response from the vendor is poor, at best. Do I have to tell them to do an entry inspection each time I call about mice? This home was built by us brand new 18 years ago. The point I am trying to make is that each visit was SUB-STANDARD service. Setting traps is easy. Finding a way to stop the entry is what I would be paying the fees for. And to her point, I could not enter any date before the one I submitted. There were a total of 5 visits over 2.5 Years. Each time except the initial one, the service did not have them try to determine the source of where the mice are getting in. So if you don't fix the root cause, any person can put peanut butter on a mouse paper or other type of trap themselves to catch them. I don't want them coming into my house, and there is no reason why they should. So when I paid them each and every time, it was SUB-STANDARD service for determining possible entry points.Their response is indicative of their attitude and customer service to deliver a service of quality.I am not surprised, but just sorely disappointed in their lack of customer service and delivery.

We feel that we have done everything possible we could for this customer and at this time Valley Pest Control does not feel that it owes Mr. [redacted] $150.00 as he is requesting or that any service was neglected by Valley Pest Control or its technicians.

Review: I have had Valley Pest Control out to my house at minimum 5 times to do Mouse pest control.

Only on 1 of the 5 times did they review the basement area (look for entry points of where the mouse is coming in) where we have found a mouse in this area. The other times, the service was substandard where they did not check each time for entry points but only set traps for the mouse/mice. I have paid $200, $150, $100, $75 and $50 respectively for each service. I would have expected a more thorough search from each visit, but that was not the case.

The only time they did a thorough review was when a supervisor from the company came out and noted 2 to 3 areas that were possible for the mouse to in through.

Although there is no guarantee on the outcome of their service, I would have expected a more consistent approach. Apart from simply setting traps, I would have expected each visit to determine the source of the entry each time to see if anything was different from the one time that they did do a thorough inspection. For the money paid for this service, it is poor not to do a proper job that they are paid to do.Desired Settlement: I would like $150 refunded back to me for some of the work they neglected to do.

Response:

In response to Mr. [redacted] customer statement of the problem:Mr. [redacted] states thilt the date of the problem was 6/30/15. Valley Pest Control was out to Mr. [redacted]'s home to treat the exterior and interior of the home for Spiders. Mr. [redacted] did not mention when making the appointment that he was having a rodent problem or that he would like his home serviced for rodents. The pest control technician who performed the service for spider control did check rodent equipment at Mr. [redacted]'s home at no additional charge.Mr. [redacted] did requet and have service for rodent on December 04th of 2013 at a charge of $150.00. Then on June 25th of 2014 Mr. [redacted] was treated for Spiders on both the exterior and interior of his home and attached and detached garages at a charge of $135.00 at his request. He did not request rodent control at the time he made this appointment with Valley Pest Control nor was he charged for it. At the time of the June 25th 2014 service the Valley Pest Control service technician did however check and service the rodent equipment at Mr. [redacted]'s home free of charge. On September 10th 2014 Valley Pest Control performed a follow up service for Insects on the interior and exterior of his home as well as an initial inspection and rodent service at the discounted rate of $200.00.Valley Pest Control offers half-price follow up services for any services preformed inside anytime within 6 months of the initial treatment as products for insect control break down over time and rodent problems often take more than one treatment and at times require closure of areas where rodents can get into the home by the home owner in order to be sure rodents cannot re-infest. On January 30th of 2015 a follow up treatment was performed at Mr. [redacted]'s home by Valley Pest Control for $75.00. Mr. [redacted] did not complain or mention any rodent problems or unhappiness with Valley Pest Controls' service until December 23rd 2015 after 2 past due notices and a final notice were received and he called Valley Pest Control to pay for his June 30th 2015 Spider control. Mr. [redacted] was told at that time that if he had called earlier Valley Pest Control would have come out to take care of whatever problem that he was having as is the company's policy for all customers and service rendered. In response to Mr. [redacted] expectation that "at each visit the source of entry be determined to see if anything was different", Valley Pest Control would have been glad to do so if asked and payed for the inspection service to be performed at each visit. At this time Valley Pest Control does not feel that it owes Mr. [redacted] $150.00 as he is requesting or that any service was neglected by Valley Pest Control or its technicians.Sincerely,[redacted]
