If the complaintant was credited for painting in the home why did he not paint after patching the walls? It appears that the complaintant just started to do the work and stopped. By not completing what he had started made the appearance of the home look worse. The complaintant removed bulbs from ceiling fan fixture and never replaced.. All appliances were clean when the complaintant moved into the home. The stove and refrigerator were not cleaned prior to the complaintant vacating the home. Photo's show the condition the appliances were left in when they moved. In addition, the side door was damaged by the complaintant’s dog and the complaintant removed rails from the split rail fence to lay along the chain link fence in the rear to keep his dog inside the fenced yard. In closing, Valley Realty Company does not own the property. We are a property management company. Per the instructions of the property owner, the security deposit will be retained and turned over to the property owner. If you should have any additional questions, please contact me at ###-###-####. Review: Rented a house to us for 3 years. The owners did not want to pay to have the place painted before we moved in. The walls were odd colored and filled with nail holes and small cracks. We were told we could paint and valley realty would cover the cost of paint. We painted the living room, dining room, bathroom, and one bedroom. We also patched holes and cracks in the hallway/stairway and other 2 bedrooms. We did not get to paint those rooms before being relocated for work. Valley realty kept our full security deposit because "the entire house needed to be painted" after we moved out. They basically kept our security deposit to pay for what they were too cheap to pay for before we moved in.Desired Settlement: At the very least a partial return of security deposit.
