Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: Some monies returned, not allThey kept 20% for admin cost they said via the check-stub. That's ridiculous! The property owner is our mother, and we have the right to speak on her behalf; especially, when dealing with companies that have unethical standards. The company that referred these folks have been notified (for senior's relief) as wellWhy would a contractor negotiate additional monies with the homeowner (years of age) instead of the mortgage company (who's paying the bill) If our statements were untrue and you're not affiliated...how would you know to refund monies? And where to send these monies if you're not the same company? If you hired the same guy...can the way you do business - reputation is huge.Thank *** for Revdex.com that allow consumers to complain and expose unethical businesses. As soon as Brink Roofing was made aware of this repair, it was promptly fixed. We take pride in our customer service and make any repairs a priority on our building schedule.I spoke with *** *** personally and we figured out why she was unable to get ahold of
us. The phone number she had been calling belonged to an employee that was no longer with us. Our office contact information is listed on all of our contracts as well as our website and *** page. We moved a few doors down from where we were a couple years ago due to a need for more space. We are located in the same office just down to Suite 303We apologize for any frustration this may have caused you and are happy this issue was resolved.*** *** ***

These statements are completely invalid. We at Brink Roofing have no affiliation with [redacted], nor had we heard of their company until receiving this complaint. We had no idea that this customer was unhappy or concerned until receiving this complaint. To this day we have not received a verbal...

or written request from the property owner [redacted] to correspond with her Daughter who wrote this complaint. To our knowledge [redacted] daughter who made this complaint has no legal rights or authority from the actual property owner to file claims or make any decisions regarding this property. Since this was received We have found out that [redacted] was working for [redacted] and is no longer with Brink Roofing as it is against our policy to have a representative of Brink Roofing affiliated with multiple companies for multiple reasons.Our customer Is the Property owner [redacted] (not her daughter). [redacted] was originally unable to afford a full roof replacement with the amount allocated by the insurance carrier.  Instead of just moving on like most companies would do our office has gone above and beyond to correspond further with the carrier by sending additional estimates using the expensive insurance software to validate the numbers. [redacted] was told that this process could take 30-60 extra days to complete and agreed do wait for us to come to an agreement on pricing with her carrier. The initial check received from [redacted] was to be refunded if we could not come to an agreement on pricing for any reason. We also worked out a payment plan of $100 dollars per month for 10 months to cover her $1000 dollar deductible!Now that the additional money's have been received by [redacted] her daughter wants to get involved and cancel her mothers agreement with us illegitimately for some reason. After receiving this complaint and several attempts to contact [redacted] and her daughter to schedule the build and address any concerns we've determined best to comply with the request for refund which has already been received by the [redacted]. We see these types of situations many times when a family member wants to somehow profit from the insurance claim which is completely fraudulent.These false allegations are being made by someone who is completely misinformed and has no rights to do so. We have bent over backwards for this customer since the beginning of the agreement, removed the previous rep [redacted] from the situation and have been more than compliant with all requests.

Mr. [redacted], As previously stated we are more than willing to repair the interior of your home at no cost to you per our contract. Currently the only reason we have not gained a final inspection on the roof is because you have refused to allow us to return. The roof has been completed per Clay...

County unfortunately per your demand we are unable to return to meet the adjuster with a ladder which is the requirement of the county. As previously stated in our email conversation, "If you do not wish for us to return I will offer you a credit of $1,700.00 for the interior work to be performed however we must return to obtain the final inspection from Clay County". We would like to apologize to Mrs. [redacted] for the delay in completing repairs.  Our original crew that was scheduled to do the repairs was delayed due to electrical issues we were not licensed to repair.  When those issues were resolved he would return to complete the work which would...

take roughly 4-5 working days.  After hurricane Matthew hit Jacksonville labor became scarce and the original crew was no longer available.  We attempted to have several other crews come in on the job but due to the increase demand we could no longer afford to hire them.We will gladly refund Mrs. [redacted]

I'm sorry that you had issues getting in touch with us, I do not understand why perhaps it was during our transition from relocating our office. What would you like us to do? I asked you in my last response to contact me directly on my cell. We are a very solid company comprised of people who genuinely care so I reject your response calling us a terrible company. made the statement we would do this for "free". As generous of a company we are unfortunately there must have been a miscommunication between us as we do not do work for free. The Insurance carrier is who issues the check and replacement not the Mortgage company! As clearly outlined in the previous response we've went above and beyond to negotiate additional money's with the ((carrier)) Not the home owner.  It's becoming very clear that the person making these accusations against us is not completely up to date about the process or what has taken place. This is the exact reason that we do not deal with anyone other than the actual home owner without a signed/notarized authorization to do so throughout the whole process. A lot of valuable time, effort and expense goes into making this happen on the contractor side of things which is the reason for the cancellation fee after the 3 day right of recision that is also clearly outlined on the agreement signed by our customer. The Refund  covers all the work we did over the last few months and the cancellation fee didn't even include the additional funds the customer received. Still no affiliation with [redacted] and have still never received a call or written notice from the home owner. This complaint is fraudulent on its own, holds no merit and should be considered null and void.

Dear Customer,We are more than willing to fix any damage that was caused by our company period therefore if you would like us to resolve this matter we will need to return to the property with your permission, assess any damage and make arrangements to complete.
