Before Mrs [redacted] 's service call was scheduled she was notified by our office that cracked cooktops are almost never covered by any home warrantyShe insisted that she had coverage on the cracked glass and that she confirmed with the warranty company that it was coveredSubsequently when we called her warranty company they denied her claimObviously we were not there when the damage occurred but from our experience glass cooktop surfaces do not crack from a drop of water falling on themThe tech did not leave a receipt behind with her because she opted to pay the home warranty directly for her service feeIf she had asked for a copy we gladly would have provided oneMrs [redacted] s real issue here is with the her home warranty company and not usWe explained clearly to her BEFORE coming about glass coverage and she insisted on us still coming out to look at itI would recommend that if Mrs [redacted] disagrees with our diagnosis she should ask the home warranty for a Second opinion
