could not guarantee his vehicle would be looked at before close of business which is 5:00PM.We looked at the truck and found the right front and right rear tires were flatService Tech did not find any nails just holes in the treadWe plugged the two tires and called customer about 2:00PMHe returned and stated the front tire was flatWe looked again and found two more holes to plug, which we pluggedWe explained to the Customer that it would be recommended that the tire/tires be replacedCustomer knew we were plugging the holes and if they still leaked he would need to replace the tires.Our Dealership is not responsible for replacing the tiresWe did not put holes in his tiresWe also told the Customer that he should put the spare on and use the plugged tire as spareHe responded that he might.Sincerely,Richard L***Service Manager
The reason I am not satisfied is because their account of the incident is not accurate. I never left the lot after I paid for the initial repair; didn't even start the vehicle, so I do not feel I should have been charged a 2nd time first of all. Secondly, had it truly been a "curtsy", they should have put the spare tire on the front, know the inherent danger plugging a front tire with multiple plugs could cause. I would hope their staff were trained enough to know this. When I purchased the new tires and when I had them changed, both places were shocked that a dealership of all places would do something so dangerous first of all. The tire specialist also told me the tire should have been plugged from the inside if it were to be plugged at all and only used as a spare. Doing it the way it was done completely ruined the tire and leaving a complete loss. This is a brand new 2016 truck just purchased a few months ago, it wasn't like the tires were worn out and I am just looking for someone to pay for new tires.
