Business response taken over the phone by Revdex.com staff 10/8/ The service tech went to the job siteNo one was answering the door He finally got a hold of girlfriend to come over and let them in minutes laterThe girlfriend wasn't happy When they finished with the job they had over hours on the job during the waiting and the serviceAt the end when they were paying by credit card they were charged 4% more to use the credit card It is their policy to tell people at the time of the appointment that if they are paying by credit card there is an additional 4% charge

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,Michael Aumock Business response taken over the phone by Revdex.com staff 10/8/ The service tech went to the job siteNo one was answering the door.( They were suppose to call 1/hour ahead of time before they arrived they never didPlus was not minutes only minute my girlfriend works mile away from house He finally got a hold of girlfriend to come over and let them in minutes laterThe girlfriend wasn't happy When they finished with the job they had over hours on the job during the waiting and the serviceThis was not two hours from time he was at my house waiting till time he left was one hour that is fabricated lie At the end when they were paying by credit card they were charged 4% more to use the credit card A SURECHARGE WAS NEVER DISCUSSED It is their policy to tell people at the time of the appointment that if they are paying by credit card there is an additional 4% charge I have sent you the bill and repeatedly asked for detailed receipt of the billThey have refused and not returned my phone calls based on the bill they supplied to meIs that there standard operating practice as well 1) the time waiting was a lie 2) she was there in min She works miles from house 3) even with time waiting he was only there for hour 4) bogus generic bill sent to me with out details of exactly what work and cost of things Why have they not supplied a detailed bill to you(now they can fabricate one to match) 4) surcharge was never once discussed before or on the phone when payingI am all over the web site not once does it say we charge 4% for credit card pay cash to avoid 5) I asked them to call me 1/hour ahead of time just in case some one was not thereThey lady told me that is standard for them They never called till they got to driveway and knocked on the door http://valu-rooter.net/about.htm Go to there websiteYou will see there is nothing stating 4% or rates of any kind I still want my cash back I paid them I feel I have proved beyond doubt they are not being truthful

Business response taken over the phone by Revdex.com staff 8/24/15. No record of any side work being done because their trucks have GPS and he doesn't see where any of the trucks were used to go back to the job siteAs far as he is concerned, he has no record of any work being done by his company,
besides the initial drain cleaning

Consumer sent the following response:regarding complaint : ID ***I find it very disgraceful for the owner of Value-Rooter to continue denying his part in our flood problemIt is horrible for a company to continue representing themselves as a reputable business, when they do such horrible things to their clientsThe owner is still refusing to take responsibility for what his employees did, when he has record of them coming out the first day, so he should know exactly who came out to finish the jobAlso, the company that paid his employees could tell him who they paid*** Realty(*** and *** ***) at *** paid his Valu-Rooter employees to come back to our house and break up the basement floor and take out a back water flap that caused our home to flood numerous times since they came out in.Whether the gps shows our address or not is irrelevantHis workers were at our houseThey did terrible work, and now we floodValu-Rooter's employees were paid on the side by *** Realty to complete the jobJust contact themThey told us how much they paid the workers to come out.We were promised that we would not have any future water intrusion problems or flooding or water coming through the floor drainThey assured us that Valu-Rooter would come back out if we had any other problems. Valu-Rooter has not come back out to fix the problemwe contacted them and they refuse to do anythings, hanging on the lie that the owner doesn't know who came to our houseInstead of just coming and fixing it.Additional reply from consumer:Complaint ID ***My husband and I are very frustrated.I wanted to add that MrH***, the owner of Valu-Rooter also tried to lie to us and say that he couldn't verify that his employees came to our home the 2nd timeBoth MrH*** and his supervisor also told us that they would take care of the situation and that the employees would be fired / reprimandedThey felt that they knew who came over to our house because they only have African American employees.Also, regarding the GPSIt is highly unlikely that they could track with the GPS because that would have to be done at that time and the owner told us he was out of town, and the workers parked both at our house and across the street from our home in a parking lotThe workers most likely also erased the GPS to show they never came over or never turned it on because they are not allowed to be paid to do side work.It appears that the owner of Valu-Rooter is just playing games, trying to avoid fixing the plumbing problem his workers causedIt is pretty simple to see who came out on one documented day to figure out who came out the next dayIt is not rocket sciencethe owner just does not careHe thinks that if he just says he has no record of them coming to our house he is in the clearHe is being very dishonest.We were also told by many other plumbing companies that the workers should have never removed a back water flap and then done nothing moreWe were told t by the other companies that their owner would never have talked to a customer the way we were spoken to by MrH*** with Valu -RooterThe other companies were appalled and said that if their workers had done something like was done at our home, the owner would fix the problemBecause customers should come first.Good reputable companies who care about their customers would always stand behind any work their workers do He is basically acting as if we imagined someone coming into our home, jack hammering the basement floor, removing the back water vale and then closing everything up and walking away leaving a messWell he is wrongHis employees whether they were on company time or not, came to our home and did the workNow Valu-Rooter is running away from the problem

Plus was not 45 minutes only 10 minute my girlfriend works 1 mile away from house.  He finally got a hold of girlfriend to come over and let them in 45 minutes later. The girlfriend wasn't happy.  When they finished with the job they had over 2 hours on the job during the waiting and the service.
