I am rejecting this response because:
The owner's son did witness the interaction between me and the managerHe failed to tell you what that the manager had an sttitude withme before I even opened the bag or discuss the refundHe was hostile to me before he looked at my receipt or saw what I was returningThe manager was rude to me in front of the other customers so I had every right to defend myself as a customerIf the manager had acted in a professional or courteous manner I would not have made a sceneI have been in customer service for over hears and I know when I am being treated unfairlyThe owner's son himself admitted that other black people return those ankle socks after searing them and that is why they do not like taking items back and he said they were a small operation and cannot handle many returnsThe item was not usedHe and the manager both offended me by profiling me and not giving me my money back for this item I had also purchased other items on that receipt and if I was a problem like they are saying I would have tried to return all of the itemsI am not a stupid consumer like the manager and owner's son thinkI know customer service and the manager was hostile to me in front of those customers before he opened that bagDo not forget this!!! He was hostile when I first stated I had a refund and without lookkng at the receipt so it is clear they are racist towards black people in this storeAnd do not lkke to take returns under any circumstances I believe the news and a lawyer should get involvedAnd this can be tested by buying and item and returning itI will send someone in and see what happens sith a white persoAre they going to get treated in a hostile manner as wellProbably notThe owners son as well as others know that black people do not give other black people the same customer serviceThat is why that manager was hostile towards me for no reasonBefore the bag was open and before he saw the receiptRacist behaviorPeriod!!!

This customer came into our store to return an ankle sock and was dealing with the store manager. The manager told the customer that our store policy is no returns and only exchanges within 7 days of purchase. The customer proceeded to get angry about the situation claiming that he was receiving a...

"bad aura" from the manager and that he was being cheated for his money. I, the owners son went over once I heard the customer raise his voice and saw him verbally abusing my store manager, berating him and our community. My store manager remained silent even though this customer was verbally attacking him on a personal level. I decided to stay out of the dispute and let it settle on it's own. Once the manager processed the exchange and gave him change (we normally don't do this but the manager did so in this instance to end the scene) the customer left angry and started to complain to another employee in the front of the store. I decided to go over and talk to the customer myself to set things straight. I told the customer that we do not do refunds and that I was sorry that he was upset but I did not see my store manager treat him wrong in any way. All I saw was the customer verbally attacking my manager and my manager preventing the situation from escalating. I still apologize for the fact that he was unhappy with his shopping experience but he was being totally out of line the way he was talking to my employee. Even the other customers were appalled by this customer's words. For him to say that our staff is racist is completely absurd. Our store manager along with half of our staff is African American and we have been serving our community which is heavily populated with African Americans for over 25 years. This customer clearly was just angry that he could not get his money back and made a scene about it. The customer states that we have cheated him by not allowing him to get his return and that there is no sign stating this policy. There in fact is a sign at the front register stating "No refunds exchanges only within 7 days with the receipt." This is also printed on every receipt including this customer's receipt. If he still has it, he can read it for himself.
