Van Metre Companies

We purchased our home and moved in early April. Soon afterwards we were rudely awaken by a couple next door. They were having sex in the bathroom just behind our bedroom. The unit they are in is unsold and they have been living in it since then or before then for all we know. They have been stomping mostly at night sometimes all night long and in the morning. At first we thought they were having sex all the time, but it sounds now like a deliberate attempt to harass especially since we have complained several times to several people, and our complaints have been ignored. We have asked questions of the Van Metre staff here and the questions have not been answered, so we are assuming they are in that house with the permission of Van Metre. To make things worse this is an over 55 community and they sound young to us. The more questions we ask or the more we complain, the more Van Metre says nothing. The behavior toward us has been completely dysfunctional and passive aggressive. Van Metre took our money and now when we have this concern we are ignored. That is not a good way to treat your buyers. If Van Metre is allowing their employees to use the empty houses, it might be a good idea to let the owners know, so they do not believe there is a squatting situation going on. And, maybe you can teach them how to deal with those who live next door to them and behave in a manner that lifts Van Metre, not demean them.
