I first would like to apologize to [redacted] for the delay in recording his real estate documents. It is important to note that the deed and Assumption and Release Agreement are now of record in Document #[redacted] and [redacted]. Please see attached. The facts associated with this delay are...

as follows: The Deed and Mortgage Assumption and Release were overnighted to Cook County on January **, 2017, for recording by [redacted].  It was rejected and received in our office on January ** for an incorrect fee for a non-standard document. The non-standard document was the Assumption and Release Agreement because mortgages are not generally assumable in today's real estate market. The documents were overnighted back to the county the same day by [redacted].  They were rejected again on February ** for an additional shortage of $4.00 and the Chicago Declaration (MYDEC) form being required even though the property is not located in the City of Chicago.  We thought the MYDEC note was an error because of the location of the property not being in the city of Chicago and resubmitted said documents with the additional $4.00 by [redacted]. The documents were rejected again by the county clerk on March ** for the missing MYDEC form.  We called Cook County and spoke with Regina, who confirmed the MYDEC form was not needed.  The documents were overnighted to her attention by [redacted].  The documents were rejected again on March ** for the missing MYDEC form.  We completed the MYDEC online form and submitted again for recording by [redacted]. The Deed and Assumption Agreement were recorded April *, 2017 in Document #s [redacted] and [redacted] respectively.  We left a voicemail for [redacted] on April 4th once we found out the documents were recorded and left another voicemail again on April [redacted]. The original recorded Deed was received today from the county and overnighted to [redacted] at [redacted] # [redacted]. Once again we apologize for the delay in recording the above described documents but please note, it was not due to lack of effort. Rather, it was due to bad advise from the recording authorities in the jurisdiction in which [redacted] property is located.
