We serviced this job we picked up an item from a store that the customer purchased customers item was too big to fit in the house we charged her for the delivery she has a receipt in her email we also return the piece to the store for free and did not charge her to return it to the store my guys spent over two hours working for this womanShe purchased a piece of furniture for her house without measuring that it would fit in her hallway after we showed up and it did not fit she got very upset with the movers because they could not get it in her house the piece was way too big to fit in her tiny hallway with turns in her stairs her piece is over inches wide or staircase is under inches wide we are movers not magicians I will not issue a refund as we did complete the work if I left the piece of furniture on her doorstep that would've been very wrong of me I was nice enough to return it to the store for free but we do need to be paid for our services we showed up we picked up a piece of furniture we put it in my truck I brought it to the house the piece did not fit we returned a piece for free We deserve to be paid for the services rendered I had three men and one truck on that job total cost of delivery $

I am rejecting this response because: It is quite a convoluted account of the events.  The men did not spend two hours with me.  That is false.  The men picked up the china cabinet at [redacted] in [redacted].  The store is ten minutes from my home.  The account of measurements by this company is certainly untrue.  The landing in my home after 8 steps is 75 inches wide.  The cabinet is 66 inches wide. The ceiling in the hall is 15 feet high.  It is a matter of geometry.  These men did not know how to angle.  They did not attempt to even try.  They said it was too heavy and they needed another man.  They just did not want to do it.  The move was not done the right way.  if they would have removed the drawers, it would have made the piece lighter.  The man took my cash and he ran out of my home screaming "don't call my company again."  He did not give me a receipt.  When I looked out the window, the truck pulled away.  To back up,  the lead man told me he would not bring in the cabinet.  He said he was going to leave it in the street in the snow in front of my door if I did not pay him.  I never intended not to pay him.  But they did half a job.  I had to give him money or he would not return it to the store.  I gave him $125 in cash.  I called the boss "Tommy" on the phone while this was happening.  He said it was not his problem and what did I want him to do.  I told him that he was the boss and he should try to find a resolution for his customers.  He said for $125 he did not care.  I took my boss to [redacted] today to look at the cabinet and the size of it. We measured it.  It is 66 inches across, 78 inches high and 18 inches deep.  My boss said it should have been no problem.  I am going to get a second opinion and someone come and take a look to see if it is a fit.  As far as Tommy's assessment of my home is too tiny,  he was never there so he has nothing to go by.  If I do get this redelivered, it will be testament to the fact that this company was remiss.  I want a refund.  He did nothing for free because the job was not done.  They were very rude to me.  When people are wrong they become offensive.  That is exactly what happened here.  There was someone else home with me.  They heard the whole thing.

guys  spent over two hours working for this woman. She  purchased a piece of furniture for her house without measuring that it would fit in her hallway after we showed up and it did not fit she  got very upset with the movers because they could not get it in her house the piece was way too big to fit in her tiny hallway with turns in her stairs her piece is over 64 inches wide or staircase is under 60 inches wide we are movers not magicians I will not issue a refund as we did complete the work if I left the piece of furniture on her doorstep that would've been very wrong of me I was nice enough to return it to the store for free but we do need to be paid for our services we showed up we picked up a piece of furniture we put it in my truck I brought it to the house the piece did not fit we returned a piece for free.  We deserve to be paid for the services rendered I had three men and one truck on that job  total cost of delivery $125
