My HOA noticed the previous owner of my house patched my roof with mismatched shingles requiring either complete replacement of the roof or another patch. I received three estimates one about 40% higher than Capitol Improvements, one lower but with lesser materials and reasonable proposal for the entire roof replaced with matching shingles.

Pat [redacted] showed up on time to provide an estimate, was very knowledgeable about my roof, house and neighborhood. He provided a thorough overview of the process to replace the roof, ordered the materials, communicated with me throughout the work and delivered on every promise he made.

The roof looks fantastic, meets the HOA guidelines and is guaranteed for 25 years. I'll not have to worry about the roof for 25 years and the HOA will not bother me anymore! That's a great feeling.

Pat and Austin [redacted] were my primary contacts throughout the process which took a total of about 8 days from estimate to roof completion. I'm a very happy customer and recommend them highly.

1) They will give you a quote online based on satellite imagery. I mean, how cool is that? One company we had out told us they couldn't even give us a price until they started working. (Umm, no.) Capitol Home Improvements sent us a great package of info including three roof options and what any extras might include. Like wood - we knew we needed some wood replaced. They will give you two sheets free and the (low) price of any sheets beyond that was clear. No surprises.

2) You won't find a better price. Anywhere. We really didn't know what we were facing when we knew we needed a new roof, but we ended up paying about a third of what we were anticipating. They will give you the best price because they want your business and they want you to recommend them to others (which is exactly what I am proud to be doing to you).

3) They are a family business. Call me a little old fashioned, but I really love that. You don't see it as much these days and it makes me happy when I do. When we scheduled an in-person follow up appointment after receiving our satellite quote by e-mail, you know who came? The OWNER of the company. Not a salesman hired out to try and sell me an overpriced job. THE OWNER, Pat. (And Pat is awesome.)

4) The customer service is unparalleled. I always knew I could reach out with questions to either Pat or his son, Austin. They made the whole process as comfortable as can be (as great as the price was, a new roof is still an expensive and kind of scary). But...oops. Something happened during the installation and our downspout came detached from the gutter. And they didn't fix it. THEY REPLACED IT. That's right, instead of just repairing the issue, they made it right by replacing the entire front gutter and downspout on the house. (I don't have to tell you who we are going to hire when we need the rest of the gutters done.)

Customer for life right here, folks. While Pat was at the house discussing the job, we called and cancelled our other appointments and signed right there. We knew Capitol Home Improvements was who we wanted to go with. And we are so glad we did.
