Vancouver Chimney & Masonry Inc Reviews (19)

Im sorry your having water issuesHere at Vancouver Chimney we stand behind everything we do. I never received a call or voicemail but feel free to contact us and we will be more than happy as the problem. Thank you,Greg V***Vancouver Chimney & Masonry Inc

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: We told Malinda the chimney was completely wrapped and we did not want VCM to unwrap it and expose the chimney to the rain and cause more damage. The new company we hired to fix the chimney is supposed to be out today. If VCM wants to come out today while the other company is here that would be OK
wants me to send her the statement from the new company for her to look at.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

It has been almost years since we did repairs at this property (February 22,it was also a different owner at the timewe never did receive a voicemail from this cutomer otherwise we would gladly have responded and come out to see what the problem wasI finally did reach out to this customer as soon as I found out he had been trying to get ahold of usSeems the issue he was having was a complete;y different problem and had nothing to do with the work that we did

I am rejecting this response because:Your response is a lie. The cap that is on my chimney is much smaller than the pipe coming out of my chimney You
don't even have to measure it to see that It is SO small in fact, that the person who put it on could not even secure it with a screw because the screw could not reach the cap itselfThat is why they just set it on top.I have been told several times now that the cap on my home is a 6" cap and a 7" one is the correct sizeI have been told this by your companyI have been told this by the person (Bob) who installed itThen after months I was told by your office manager that Bob stated that he would only come out and put the correct size on my home if the one that is on there now blew off.I don't know what can happen if a wrong size chimney cap is on a chimney Could my house burn down? Could I get some sort of blockage causing smoke to back up inside my home?? This isn't a game and you are supposed to be a professional Chimney and masonry company. So your solution, which took more than a week to determine was that the cap is the correct size after all and I will get a full refund?? Go to ***.I want to correct size cap so that I can put it on my chimney myself if I have toOr I want my old chimney cap back and my money refunded so that I can find another company that actually knows what they are doing, to do the job.Honestly I should report you to the Fire Marshall as you used to be a very good company but now the work you are doing on peoples chimneys is shoddy at bestIt you are so incompetent that you can't properly install a correct size chimney cap, then what other chimney work are you doing poorly, or just plain wrong???I believe that an email to the Vancouver Fire Marshall is going to be my next task as I think that is a good ideaGood luck to you

We need to look at the chimney? Customer can even go on the roof with us but we need to look at it? If something failed on our part, there is no problem in resolving the issue? But we need to get view it to determine what happened? At this time, the consumer has refused to
allow us access to their property? Again, we must look at the chimney to see what happened

This is the right cap it was just not secured properly? We will provide a full refund to the consumer

I am rejecting this response because:? VCM did not fix the leak in May or on November when they came out again.? They did not follow through with other statements they made; i.esomeone will be out today (no one came) or we'll send a check.? They also were told that our chimney was completely wrapped and taped and we did not want that removed because it was raining.? The bottom line is this, VCM was here twice to repair our chimney and stop the leak.? THEY DID NOT STOP THE LEAK.? The new company we hired came out and did repair our chimney.? NO MORE LEAKS.? They also stated that the crown cap had not been replaced by VCM nor did they remove the moss.? Therefore, we do not feel we should have to pay for anything more than the flashing.? Please note the difference between the chimney after VCM and then after the new company.? ***SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REDACTED BY Revdex.com***
