I am responding to this complaint because I am concerned the customer had brought it in yesterday 02/22/stating that the vehicle was making a noise that sounded like it was possibly coming from the timing chain area we told him that we would take a look at it and determine what was going on
Bruce had asked him if he would like a ride home and he stated that he needed a loaner vehicle which we did give to him so that we could determine the problemWe had started the vehicle several time yesterday and there was no noise coming from the engine areaI feel this is really odd that the customer submitted a complaint to Revdex.com on the same day that he dropped the vehicle off and demanded a loaner vehicleWe did keep the vehicle over night to see if it would have any noise which it did not have any noise at all even coldBruce had called the customer in the morning to determine when it makes the noise since it did not today make any noise, the customer stated that it is intermittent so we had started it several times more to try and get to the bottom of itAs you can see from the three attachments on the first time 08/25/we did do a Catalytic Converter for a noise issue and also a chain tensioner and adjusterOn 09/03/the customer did come in for an emissions diagnostic and had no complaint at that timeOn 11/05/the customer did state there was still a noise so we had just warrantied the complete timing chain with tensioners at no charge to the customer and there has not been any concerns until nowI feel that we make every attempt to satisfy all of our clients/customers as the three attachment show that we have in good faith tried to resolve any issueThe last attachment shows that there was still no charge
Thank you,
Gordon B***

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
Let me enlighten on the discrepancies at hand.
First of all the complaint being registered is not about being charged for the repairs. It's about the amount of times I have taken my vehicle in for the same issue. I strongly feel the problem is being dismissed by their mechanics on site. An example, when I returned soon after they had just repaired my vehicle the mechanic informed me that there are simply some vehicles that make noise after the tensioners are replaced. Adding an oil stabilizer to the engine is not a solution to the issue, only a temporary fix which was done by the mechanic as a solution to the problem that day. The catalytic converter was replaced due to lack of power not for the noise. The chain tensioner and adjuster were replaced for the noise on 8/25/15. As previously stated Monday the 22nd of February being my 4th visit to Vancouver Tire & Auto Center regarding this issue. In paying for these costly repairs, the issue should have been resolved and it is not. I also understand that they didn't charge me for those other times due to it being covered under warranty.
I've always been respectful and leveled headed while speaking to Bruce. I do not appreciate being made out as a hostile person who demands a loaner vehicle nor did Bruce ever offer me a ride home. I simply asked respectfully to use their loaner vehicle. Gordon Bozarths intentions to misdirect this to look like it's the customer at fault and not the company is in the wrong.
Regarding the statement that “this is really odd” filing the complaint and bringing my vehicle in the same day, only shows I want this issue resolved. The dates that Vancouver Tire & Auto Center has submitted is correct and only proves the amount of months I have been dealing with the same problem. Due to my work schedule being conflicting and long hours made it near impossible to bring the vehicle in sooner.
I had no problems with Bruce's attitude towards me up until this last visit, at which time he came off rude when I dropped off the loaner vehicle. As I was handing him the keys I stated, “it's unfortunate you guys didn't hear the noise.” To which he replied, “It's unfortunate that I am having to respond to a Revdex.com complaint, before you gave me a chance to get back to you”.
Again, I've been nothing but respectful through the course of months this issue has been going on. I am not the only one who hears this noise that my truck continues to make. It's become beyond frustrating to the point of no longer wanting to deal with Vancouver Tire & Auto Center.

Thank you, [redacted] for taking the time to look into this complaint.
Sincerely,[redacted]
