We did do a 3k oil service to Mrs [redacted] on Sept 17th On Sept 18th she called from Columbia saying the vehicle was leaking oil She took the vehicle to a [redacted] and they said that the oil filter seal was bad and that the engine was qrts low on oil (not empty)They repaired/replaced the oil filter/seal and added oil to the engineWhen she called we told her we would reimburse her the full amount for the 3k service we charged her even though [redacted] didn't charge her anything for what they didWe then got notice that she was told that the valve cover gaskets and oil filter housing block assemblies were leaking oil and needed replaced, and that she expected Cobb Tire to pay for the repairsIt should be noted that the oil system in engines does not run under pressure like a cooling system, so an engine running low on oil or having too much oil will not build up pressure and cause seals or gaskets to fail and start leakingAnd Mrs [redacted] was told this, to which she replied that she would be suing us for the damagesShe came in to our location to get her reimbursement for the 3k oil service and told us that she would be going through with a law suit so MrCobb informed her that per our insurance company's policy we couldn't reimburse her any money and will let the lawyers and insurance company handle it going forward

I received a phone call from Cobb Tire stating I could drive to their location and pick up a refund of $for labor on my second repair of my A/C and offered to check the A/C for leaksI do not wish to take my vehicle back to their shop for any type of work nor do I feel it is my responsibility to drive to their facility for a what they consider a generous refundIf this is all they are willing to offer I will accept the $45.00, however I will be sure to share my experience with others and they can cut a check for the amount and mail it to my home address as I will not be inconvenienced once again to take time off work and drive to their shopPlease ask that this business not contact me directly Thank you, [redacted]

First off, my car has over 40K miles, not sure why you state you did a 3K oil changeYes, I took the car to *** *** as he saw the mistake Cobb tire made and tried to help me, who cares if they charged me or notThat is not my issue! The gentleman was agreeable Cobb Tire messed up the oil change and tried to help me but the car was continuing to leak oil and could not be drivenI then had the car towed locally to *** in ColumbiaCobb tire had no compassion of the situation but blame and yell at othersMrCobb constantly spoke over me I could not express or state much on my behalfMrCobb admitted the first time I called he would be responsible for the oil filter and gasket, but then later denied all to *** sent me a bill stating I have a damaged oil filter housing assyand valve cover gasket, well the two things MrCobb stated he would fixSo, since we cannot resolve such and the multiple times he was given to fix the mistake I have now retained an attorney

We left messages for *** *** asking that she come back in to the shop so that we could verify that everything we did to her vehicle was correctly doneWe heard no reply from her, so we mailed her a check for the $labor we charged her to install the blower motor resister which she says was not installed correctly
Having not heard anything else from *** we are assuming that this complaint has been handle to her satisfaction
