claimed it was difficult to find a time and I should come out aloneI did so and left an estimate (without knowledge of her desire for cedar) for a treated fenceA treated fence is cheaper than cedarIf I had known, I would've most definitely given them a cedar priceThe higher the cost of the job, the more money we makeIt makes no sense that I would've intentionally given them treatedThat said, a couple days later I received a phone call from ***We spoke on the phone for a brief momentAt this time, she expressed her desire for cedarI gave her the cost for that over the phone and she expressed it was more than she had to spend and to proceed with the treated. We met for the first time when I went back to have her sign the contractI walked through it with her and explained every detail- including the treated woodI made friends with her dog and she and I had a great conversationShe didn't mention cedar ever again. As for my workers' times- they have a method to their work schedulesWe completed the job in daysThat included a full tear out and replacement of almost feet of fenceThe mistake Mr*** is referring to, is I mistakenly didn't charge them for feet of their fenceThis is why the cedar was so much more expensiveIf I was going to tear it out and reinstall all cedar, I was going to charge for the full footage of fenceI mistakenly didn't add in 50ftThey essentially got a full tear out and replacement of a new (beautiful) fence for a fraction of the cost that everyone else pays.If Mr*** had reviewed the quote more thoroughly and spoke with Mrs*** about it before hiring Paragon Fence, we would've been glad to give him the cedar fence he desiredI didn't even know there was a Mr*** until I received an angry and out-right rude phone call degrading my integrity and my employees' work ethic. *** and I spoke multiple times about the material and quality of wood and I gave her exactly what she asked forSigned contract attached as proof.
