I will never buy a Pulte Home again We have had nothing but trouble with the builder of our home, [redacted] since they started building The have no integrity, no pride, and they will only do the bare minimum to pass codes First we signed our contract with them on March 1, We were told that it would take 4-months; however, it "almost never goes six months" We met with the field manager of our home the next month who said, "Oh, yeah, we should get your house done no later than the second week in August." Well, then it sat thereand sat therefor over a month after they poured the basement So, let's fast forward a few months to framing We did our pre-drywall walk through, and the contractor had put rotted wood in the frame The field manager got mad when we ripped it out because we wanted to make sure that they fixed it Then, they installed the countertops cracked We saw that they were cracked before they were installed but wanted to see if they have any integrity They don't They also installed our window sills crooked as in I walked in the room looked at it and saw that it was crooked Another example of lack of integrity - either that, or they don't own a level They installed cracked crown molding as wellThe list could go on and on Well, August came and went, and we got a closing date for the first week in September The first week in September came and went and we got a closing date for the second week We did a walk through prior to closing, and our realtor found a number of things - a missing downspout, incorrect windows on the back of the house, a loose rail on our deck, loose siding Again, the list could go on and on Things that you would think a field manager or someone would have caughtWe closed on September 20, at which time we didn't have a mailbox The field manager, [redacted] said that he would have them come before the close of business to install They did but without a number We had to contact the corporate office through a warranty claim to get numbers which are consistent with our neighborhood I wish I could say that the disaster stopped there Luckily my dad owns an HVAC company and noticed that they installed an electric thermostat for our gas heat so we also had to have a warranty claim for that A shelf in our closet fell within six months of us moving in which had close to nothing on it Then it fell again after it was fixed, and they refused to fix it because the warranty guy, ***, said it wasn't covered under warranty Again, no integrity He said that they fixed it the first time "as a courtesy" A courtesy would be to install them correctly We found out after having the air conditioning on for a month or so that someone, in the building process (because we haven't been in our attic), stepped on a drain pipe or didn't install it correctly and it flooded our ceiling It seems like a lot of on the surface type stuff, but after dealing with thing after thing and calling to their attention things that their "professionals" should be installing correctly in the first place, I've had enough I wish I would have never spent a quarter of a million dollars on this awful house We are coming up on a year and more than once debated whether or not we should sell the house prior to getting in too deep Codes do not require the integrity of the company or their contractors They will do things to meet the minimum requirement regardless of if it's the correct or right thing to do They don't care about the people in the home, just that it's built as cheaply as possible They are a pathetic excuse for a business, and I will never buy a home from them again If you do end up buying a home from them, make the investment into your own inspector from start to finish Even though some of these things are minor or cosmetic, I had to take time out of my work day to talk to them, meet them, meet the contractor, etc

I will never buy a Pulte Home again. We have had nothing but trouble with the builder of our home, [redacted] since they started building. The have no integrity, no pride, and they will only do the bare minimum to pass codes. First we signed our contract with them on March 1, 2013. We were told that it would take 4-6 months; however, it "almost never goes six months". We met with the field manager of our home the next month who said, "Oh, yeah, we should get your house done no later than the second week in August." Well, then it sat there... and sat there... for over a month after they poured the basement. So, let's fast forward a few months to framing. We did our pre-drywall walk through, and the contractor had put rotted wood in the frame. The field manager got mad when we ripped it out because we wanted to make sure that they fixed it. Then, they installed the countertops cracked. We saw that they were cracked before they were installed but wanted to see if they have any integrity. They don't. They also installed our window sills crooked as in I walked in the room looked at it and saw that it was crooked. Another example of lack of integrity - either that, or they don't own a level. They installed cracked crown molding as well. The list could go on and on. Well, August came and went, and we got a closing date for the first week in September. The first week in September came and went and we got a closing date for the second week. We did a walk through prior to closing, and our realtor found a number of things - a missing downspout, incorrect windows on the back of the house, a loose rail on our deck, loose siding. Again, the list could go on and on. Things that you would think a field manager or someone would have caught. We closed on September 20, 2013 at which time we didn't have a mailbox. The field manager, [redacted] said that he would have them come before the close of business to install. They did but without a number. We had to contact the corporate office through a warranty claim to get numbers which are consistent with our neighborhood. I wish I could say that the disaster stopped there. Luckily my dad owns an HVAC company and noticed that they installed an electric thermostat for our gas heat so we also had to have a warranty claim for that. A shelf in our closet fell within six months of us moving in which had close to nothing on it. Then it fell again after it was fixed, and they refused to fix it because the warranty guy, [redacted], said it wasn't covered under warranty. Again, no integrity. He said that they fixed it the first time "as a courtesy". A courtesy would be to install them correctly. We found out after having the air conditioning on for a month or so that someone, in the building process (because we haven't been in our attic), stepped on a drain pipe or didn't install it correctly and it flooded our ceiling. It seems like a lot of on the surface type stuff, but after dealing with thing after thing and calling to their attention things that their "professionals" should be installing correctly in the first place, I've had enough. I wish I would have never spent a quarter of a million dollars on this awful house. We are coming up on a year and more than once debated whether or not we should sell the house prior to getting in too deep. Codes do not require the integrity of the company or their contractors. They will do things to meet the minimum requirement regardless of if it's the correct or right thing to do. They don't care about the people in the home, just that it's built as cheaply as possible. They are a pathetic excuse for a business, and I will never buy a home from them again. If you do end up buying a home from them, make the investment into your own inspector from start to finish. Even though some of these things are minor or cosmetic, I had to take time out of my work day to talk to them, meet them, meet the contractor, etc.
