I am rejecting this response because:
I accept that the amount in question was $ I apologize for the discrepancy I have a copy of the receipt but it is with the car sitting at a shop in *** ***The wife whom I mentioned before offered to diagnose the car for free and put the reader on it and told me it was a bad coil and they could replace it I chose not to and replaced it myselfAfter taking it to a real shop they diagnosed it with a faulty ECM which was making the car die, not shake, as it was doing when I left the shop.
I would like to respond to the accusation of being a scam artist I am a decorated *** *** *** ***I served three tours of duty overseas with two of those deployments being with a *** *** *** ** ***I was medically retired in February At the time I brought my car to be fixed I had been medically retired for just over two weeks and our only other vehicle was wrecked with my wife and son in the car I honestly couldn't afford the repairs Our family was homelessI went to this business and asked for very simple services to be done because I could no longer be in the rain and outside trying to do the repairs myself and my family was preparing to travel to *** *** *** *** *** for specialty care and we had to obtain a rental car to do so I put my faith in this business to do the job I paid for, replace three of six spark plugs and wires which I stated before only of the was properly done The #plug was not seated and was cross threaded and the #was not replaced at allThe wire was not even attached to the plug on the #
At this point I would like the community to know what this shop has done to a family that has ties to this communityA family which has made sacrifices for this country They did a poor job and when my wife went to speak to them they promised to come and at least look at the vehicle When I was contacted much later than they said I would they lied, threatened and yelled at both myself and my wife They should be ashamed of themselves They should honor their work and they don't They should honor commitments made by their employeesThe same employees that admitted that issues like this often happen at this shop due to a mechanic who is poorly trained and lack of proper equipment (magnetic plug sockets)

With regards to case [redacted] which the customer states we diagnosed his vehicle with a bad
coil is false.  There were several people here that day including my [redacted] decorated officer
[redacted] just back from [redacted]
assisting the mechanic to change the 3 spark plugs and 3 wires (per customer request) who can verify that he was told it could
be several things that could be wrong and that without further diagnostics we could not tell him exactly
what his problem was and at that time he declined.  Our Code reader or any other code reader that I know
of will not tell you that your coil is bad.

Attached you will find the original copy of the invoice we charged the customer it was $133.00NOT $183.00.  Customer REFUSED all diagnostics on his vehicle that was running roughbefore he requested the tune up. He was informed that without doing a diagnostic and...

justdoing the tune up may not cure his problem he still refused any type of diagnostic which isstated on the invoice.  We did the job per customer request.  I believe this individual is doingsome sort of scam so my advice to other shops is be careful of this individual.   Thank You!!
