In October 2015, the patient’s account was sent to collections.  On 3/29/16 (not 2014 as is listed in the complaint), the patient called our billing office regarding the bill.  It was explained to the patient during that call that our bill was for the professional component only – the interpretation – of her x-rays taken in May 2015.  There was also a separate bill sent to the patient by Overlake Breast Imaging for the technical charges. We advised the patient that we had not received a payment for the outstanding balance prior to the account being sent to the collection agency in October 2015.  Any payment made now would need to be made to the collection agency.
