Vapor Industries, Inc. Reviews (2)

Our records indicate that the only phone number for Mr*** was the number that I called for our appointment and got a message that the phone did not take in-coming calls
Yesterday, I received calls from that same number within hourThe person making the calls did not speak but only
breathed hard into the phoneAfter, the ninth call, I did send Mr*** an email asking him to please stop making those calls as they were beginning to cause some fear and consternation among our employees
No longer than minutes after sending the email, I received an irate, threatening email from Mr***I wrote back to him that if it was not him making the calls that I sincerely apologized for contacting him and offered him a discount on his next purchaseThis email seemed to incense Mr*** and shortly after, I received another email from him threatening mass retaliation with the Revdex.com, Various Social Networks, lawyers and all but the Russian Army
After a discussion with our CEO, we decided that it was very possible that we were dealing with a "disturbed" individual and it would be best if we just ceased communication with himThat we did
As I said earlier, my apology seemed to raise some unnatural hostility in Mr*** and since he has seen fit to follow through on the first of his threats, I am today, contacting our attorneys about how to further proceed in this unfortunate matter.
I might mention that in my years in business, I have never experienced a situation such as thisI would have been happy to further apologize to Mr*** but his last email warned, that if I/we contacted him further, he would make good on his previous threats
While I am writing this, I have been instructed by our CEO, *** ***, MD, to look into membership in the bureauCould you please send info concerning membership
Thank you for your understanding,
*** ***, VP Sales and Marketing

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Below are the exact emails (I removed my number for privacy) in order of receipt that I received from Mr [redacted], VP of Marketing for Vapor Industries, Inc.
Subject: Great Way

[redacted];

Not setting up your voice mail is a great way to avoid unwanted callers. However, when you call the numbers back, they know who and what you are doing.
Just for your information, a real business man doesn't do things like that. If he no longer wants to speak with someone, he has the courtesy to tell them so.
Because of your childish way of communicating your desires, I have removed your name from the list of those eligible for a Vapor Industries Business Opportunity. I am also forwarding a copy of this email to The Vending Association of North America.

Sir,

I haven't the foggiest idea of what you're talking about.
All I know is, you failed to call me at the time and date that you specified. My voice mail is set up and I have no call log of any calls from you.
I think it extremely unprofessional of you to make so many assumptions about me and am happy to never do business with you. In fact, I'm considering reporting you to the Revdex.com.
Do not contact me again or you will force me to bring legal actions against you and your company.

Regards,

A second message from Mr [redacted] came with a new subject line:

Subject: Not the Way
From: Vapor Indsutries
Date: Jul 16

Hello [redacted]

The phone number in our records (number omitted for privacy) shows up on my caller ID with 9 incoming calls today. When you call that number there is a message on it that your voice mail is not set up. Whoever that person is has called me back over 9 times today and does nothing but breath into the phone.

If that is not you I sincerely apologize for my error. However, I believe, if the same thing happened to you, you would be a bit perturbed. Also, it is your choice with whom you do business but, the merits in business should always trump personal hurt feelings. Especially, if you had sincere interest originally.

As for me missing our call, my records indicate that I called the number twice with no result.

Sorry for the problem. I am willing to help you at anytime you are willing to forgive and forget; as I have done many times. If the time ever comes that you reconsider and do business with us, I will remember this incident and take note of it in your price.

My observation: Would a true business professional ever write such an email in the first place?  Not only does Mr [redacted] have an apparent issue with getting my telephone number correct but he cannot even get the spelling of my last name correct.  He misspelled it twice in his message.  He then goes on to offer to 'take note' of my willingness to 'forgive and forget' and apparently give me a reduced price (my assumption) if I decided to pursue the franchise opportunity with his company.  Seriously?!

Here is my response to Mr [redacted]'s second message:

Subject: Re: Not the Way
From: [redacted] <[redacted]@gmail.com>
To: Vapor

Apparently, there is a typo in my number. Not sure if I entered it incorrectly (not likely) or if someone at your end was simply entering it incorrectly when calling. If the error was indeed mine then I apologize for all the miscommunication.  Regardless,  you don't accuse someone of anything unless you're sure beyond doubt that you're in the right.  Being a business owner should force you to restrain yourself from admonishing others in writing as you did. I've never felt so insulted in my life. This is proof to me that you are unworthy of doing business with me. Also, what is it about, 'do not contact me' do you not understand?
Know this, I will report you to the Revdex.com as well as to your president if you communicate any further with me on this matter.  I'll refrain from posting anything about this on social media since I'm a better person than that.
Lastly, if you insist on continuing to harass me, you will be contacted by my attorney.  And yes, I most certainly have such resources.
Good day!

My Action after this second message: I verified that my profile on the franchise gateway I used to initially communicate with Vapor Industries, Inc had all the information entered correctly to include the correct spelling of my own last name and my own telephone.

Mr [redacted]'s response via this Revdex.com forum (please note the misspelling of my last name - two times):

Last Note:  It is obvious to me now that it was a very bad idea on my part to even think I could do business with such a company as Vapor Industries, Inc.  I never threatened to publish anything about this incident on social media channels.  In fact, I stated I would NOT do so because I'm a better person than that.  I did implore Mr [redacted] to not contact me but he ignored that demand and went on to berate and insult me (in writing no less) making his own threats to report the incident to some group of franchise professionals.  Lastly, he made a medical diagnosis of me stating that I was a 'disturbed' person.  I was simply to find a business opportunity that myself and my wife could invest in to hopefully expand our portfolio and provide an even better future for ourselves, our children and our grandchildren than we already have.   Well, shame on me!

Conclusion:  It is my sincerest hope that Mr [redacted] discontinues his barrage of insults and unprofessional behaviors towards myself and that we can bring this issue to closure.

Sincerely,

[redacted]
