Variety Auto Sales Reviews (2)

I saw a 2006 Nissan Titan truck, payment was $269 a month on offer up (the name on offer up was *** that I wanted to purchase and it was from Variety Auto Sales In ontario, ca. I communicated with them through offer up and they had me contact them at *** I contacted them they said as long as I had at least $1,800 in income they would work something out with me. I told them that I do have that, do they directed me to their website to fill out an application. I went to their website and I filled out an application for my father and I. The man told me that he would call me back within an hour. I did not receive a call within an hour, so about three hours later I called them back and some lady told me that they would be running my credit and the salesman would be getting back to me. I waited another hour no one contacted me, so I called them back and the call was forwarded to voicemail. When I finally got in contact with someone the man was really rude first saying that since my dads income was not high enough he would need a cosigner. That is why I filled out an appliction for myself as well. He rudely said that since I get social security the bank would not even look at my information, since they do no consider it a source of income. I now feel like this company is a fraud they seem fishy, on offer up and on google I see they have dealerships in ontario and fontana, offer up is stating they have dealerships in la verne too. I don't know what they did with my dads and my personal information. We feel violated and now they credit they ran is going to ding our credit scores. Please look into them to make sure they are not a fraud.

To Whom it May Concern;

We have received your letter with regard to COMPLAINT *** First of all I want to point out the fact that we have been at the Ontario location for 28 years and we are very diligent in keeping all customer information confidential. We are definitely not a fraud_ We had a Fontana location previously, it has been closed down for over two years. The dealership operating in the Fontana location now is not affiliated with Variety Auto Sales. We have never had a location in La Verne or that area.

When we receive calls from people interested in buying cars we always suggest that they fill out an application online so that we have some knowledge what we are dealing with in each ease. We do apologize for not getting back to the customer in a timely manner; however customers at the actual location take priority over online applications. If the call went to voicemail it was because all lines to the dealership were in use at the time of the call_ We do our best to provide excellent customer service, but when it is really busy inside the office it may take us a little longer to respond to call-in customers. Once again our apologies for less than prompt service.

The problem with this application is that *** has only Social Security, child support and alimony for income. We do not have any banks that will finance unattachable income like that.

The father did not make enough income to qualify for both of them, so it was impossible to use him to obtain financing.

Once we reviewed the credit applications it became clear that we would not be able to finance these people due to the amount and sources of their income. Variety Auto Sales made the decision not to proceed with the application. We never pulled a credit report on either one of them. They can rest assured that their credit will not be "dinged". We acted in an honest responsible manner. No discrimination was involved; our goal is to sell vehicles to as many customers as possible. In some cases it is just not possible to mixture a deal that will qualify for bank approval. Their personal information is securely stored and will be kept secure for the length of time required by law. After that time it will destroyed.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely

***
