I have had a trailer there for 7 yrs and for the first few years we paid her cash but then one day she said something about us owing herore then we did and it was a different amount then the last payment so then she said on no that is someone else's as her records are not kept well everything is a mess and then we started doing e.transfers as that way we would have proof.of what we paid then we decided after not going for a whole season but still being charged full amount that we wanted to sell then my husband went to get our personal belongings with a friend and she tried to say that we owe her 10000 and that I was only giving her 20 or 50 at a time so I emailed her again all the email transfers equaling 8500 and she said she waoul have to find her bookes she only let my husband grab a few tools but nothing else as she made us sound like to everyone.*** and here we have been waiting now 3 months for her to find her books to go threw them meanwhile she has been selling our property and we are not the only ones she has done this to

I did not receive the first notice for this case. Our post office is located in a local country store which is being renovated. I just received the 2nd notice today. This client has owed me money since 2013. She only sent e transfers from 2017 to 2019. I do not keep messy records. Mr. came on a busy weekend and I did not have the time to delve into 7 years of payments with him and keep all their info private as our office was busy. I have not talked to anyone about their issue, My property taxes are assessed regularly, like everyone else, I am registered with Revenue Canada, We have not sold any of the chattels or the trailer. She has signed a legal contract stating that none of these items are exempt from levy by distress for rent or rent in arrears. Also since a seasonal client gets a preferred rate for paying at the beginning of the season any seasonal client who owes past due site fees is charged monthly interest. That is why her record did not agree with mine. I also have routinely sent her emailed copies of her ledger sheet. She has not been waiting 3 months but less than one month. Her husband did come to pick up his tools only. These were all very large tools not hammers, etc. He tried to access the campground without our knowledge or permission. I did let him take his tools but asked him to leave when he loaded other items into his trailer. He gave us a key for the trailer so we could put it up for sale but the key would not work. We have had no interest in trailer sales since June. Most are sold in April to June and a few in September. We are in our busiest period and we had decided to wait until September when we have more time to devote to this problem and a better chance to sell the trailer. We have "repossessed" other trailers in the past usually for abandonment, occasionally for past due arrears but all in accordance with our legal contract. Since the ***'s have decided to pursue this issue and want it resolved NOW, I am willing to send them my information. They can then pay their arrears and pick up their trailer and chattels.

I have asked for the past 2 to 3 yrs for the ledger copies from the time we bought the trailer to the current date as she kept giving me the run around and I have yet to see what she had on file as I said she lies I have other people that she has done this to that are actually filling small.claims court but I want to make sure this happens to no one else and to say she keeps things private I have witnessed to that that she does not and she has never emailed me as she said she did and like I said I was giving her cash as this is how she wanted payment from us in the beginning and it wasn't until she could not keep her records straight or decide on an amount that we decided transfer so we would have receipts so if we owed from 2013 to 2017 why would she not have thrown us out she is not making sense she is lying again

Varty lake campground have been charging us compounded interest with interest on interest which has totaled over 200% of original fee within one year. 2300$ turned into 6000$. All within one year. Now we paid 4000$ and they still won't let us on the property and they are charging us full fees ( fridge, air conditioning, etc) even though they shut the power off to our trailer. They have done this to many others leaving them to loose everything they built in no time. Please help us, we are a family of 4 with 2 children that we bought this trailer for and now, they are taking it away from us ***

We do charge interest on past due accounts. The percentage is laid out in our contract which I read through with every new customer and in our rules which every customer receives as well. This complainten has owed me money since the first season he bought the trailer. Dec 2016 $2353.48 Dec 2017 5218.72. We informed this customer at Campground closing that he must pay monthly payments until his account was cleared and he agreed. We did not receive any payments. We informed our customers through our *** page that customers with past due accounts must contact the office and arrange for monthly payments or they would be denied access to the Campground. They did not contact us so we telephoned them and listened to a myriad of reasons why they had not paid. We informed them that they were denied access until their account was up to date. We did not turn their *** off. Our policy is to turn on campers *** as they enter the Campground as most leave the fridge door open to prevent mold. As to the complaint that we have done this to "many others", we do remove or sell trailers which had been abandoned and apply the money to their account.
We run a clean, well maintained and friendly Campground and have always strived to do our best to be helpful to our customers. Almost all Campgrounds require their customers' account to be paid in full before allowing access to their trailers but we tried to help out and allowed consumers to run a tab.
