Vato's Garage Reviews (4)

Vato's Garage is addressing Ms [redacted] comments in order of her response of Revdex.com complaint # [redacted] Two invoices were produced, to provide the customer and immediate receipt for the deposited on $on May the day [redacted] vehicle was dropped offThe clerk created an invoice opened and closed simply for paper trail purposes of producing a receipt for the quoted $The clerk did not have any vehicle information at the time or an itemized Repair Order which are prepared by technicians due to [redacted] had just showed up with the vehicle and was making a depositThis is how Invoice came to be the clerk improvised to with the estimator to make the total amount reflect the amount [redacted] deposit Warranty is thousand miles or year whichever comes first it’s on all disclosures at the bottom of Vato’s invoicesWe deeply apologize customer construed years from months Once vehicles are inspected by a technician, a work order is opened and a repair order with itemized parts and labor is createdOn invoice itemized parts description are on the left and parts discreption are on the right [redacted] claims that the engine in her vehicle is not her stock engine, we would like to know what engine was stock on her claim? [redacted] also states that the tow truck driver noticed it was not a stock engine, this just leads us to believe that the tow truck driver is very familiar with this Chevy C¾ RWD Pick Up belonging to [redacted] *** I would never be able to explain why [redacted] retracted her statement and reworded to Alex “that she did not say Vato’s garage swapped her engine, but the engine in her truck was not the engine that was in her truck when she dropped it of for repairs” Maybe to be settle and keep some peace or maybe to withdraw a statements made in a moment of frustration This statement was remembered very clearly because as a Veteran and a business owner the statement made a big impact to the whole issue being addressedAlex took it personal but maintained his professional character for core values are instilled in day to day shop operations, values that reflect our service then and now as a business owner What Alex was trying to get across to [redacted] is that per shop key pro se our repair management software the CRWD VIN# [redacted] that [redacted] dropped off at Vatos garage for repairs originally came with a 4.1L,In-Line(250CI) VIN(D) for an engine which is the exact engine that’s in her truck Vatos garage hours of operation are 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday – Friday Closed Saturday & Sunday, no one answer’s the phone on Saturday & Sunday due to we are closed for business [redacted] was at the shop on Monday June, at 8:00am and all her concerns were explained to Alex at that timeWe did not see a reason to return calls due to the customer [redacted] showed up in person for the first order of businessMessages are received by the clerk and all messages were related to what [redacted] states to Alex when she walked in at 8:00am that Monday morning [redacted] truck was to be worked on only by Alex, we do have a schedule to maintain and we prioritized her truck to try and resolve the issue with vehicle and get it back to her as soon as possibleThe issue with [redacted] truck is the recommended repairs that she declined to have addressed The transmission on [redacted] ***s truck was working properly when she picked it up, but it is possible some damages may have been caused by the way she makes her vehicle shut down which is placing it in gear to make the engine stop Dieseling (shut off while it’s trying to stay running) this could very well have contribute some damaged to components we have been repaired or rebuilt Correct the is not a signed invoice because it was produced by the clerk immediately to provide the customer a receipt for the deposit of $that [redacted] pain when she dropped of her vehicle [redacted] total bill was $- $1225(initial deposit) = $ [redacted] Balance came in on May and made an additional deposit of $to cover the transmission rebuild cost and $towards the tune upAt this time her balance from the total ($2129.27-$1225= $904.27) $904.27-$700= $ [redacted] picked up her truck on June at the time she paid her remaining balance of $ [redacted] was not charged twice for any parts of repairs performed to her vehicle Option At this time we would like to offer Ms [redacted] a 50% refund on labor charges on INVOICE of $1,which equals $ This is an offer to resolve all issues in this matter and is a jester of good faith Vato's Garage realizes that we can no longer meet Ms [redacted] requirements for her vehicle needs, if offer is accepted vehicle will need to be picked from property immediately and Vato's will no longer be able to look, work, or warranty any needs Vato's Garage [redacted] Anchorage, AK [redacted] Office [redacted] Fax [redacted] @gmail.com

My RESPONSES to Vato’s Garage VG (Alex’s) Argument: The transmission portion we required a upfront payment of $Why was this on two invoices with the same number [redacted] with a different dates 5/29/& 6/5/2015: Auto Trans Master Repair Kit; Transmission Mount; Dexron VI ATF and TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY –Overhaul; TRANSMSSION ASSEMBLY –Removal & Installation is billed twice? I would like to find out whom rebuilt the TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY –Overhaul? Why this does include: Inspect and replace parts, adjust and road test? When I still have not received a running vehicle or satisfaction to this statement and why am I paying twice for this? On invoice date 6/5/after the last payment (not signed) is their twice payments again, but a $over charge? Is this your shop trying to cover up the fact Vato’s did not send it to another transmission shop for sublet? Am I being charged for your unsatisfactory work twice in addition to already paying for the original invoice [redacted] date 5/11/2015? This is because the transmission was sublet to a transmission shop, Vato’s Garage does not fix transmissions as she was informed What about mentioned two year warranty? Ms [redacted] paid for a transmission rebuild repair, not a rebuilt transmissionWas told it would be a rebuilt transmission All of her invoices show Auto Trans Master Repair Kit that she was given Where does it state this and why was this on the payment after I had paid for the tunot after the supposed rebuilt transmission? Where are any of my payments, not entered electronically? [redacted] came in at 8:00am stating that her truck was not running properly and she was never able to leave town, that after opening her hood she noticed the engine in her truck was not the original engine that was in her truckThis she knew because her engine took up the whole engine bay and the engine currently in her truck is only half the size and is slant to one side Monday I waited until he opened to speak to him directly, because I had left messages on his business line stating I was stranded and the truck had broken down and I (& the tow truck driver) noticed this was not the stock engine for this truckI also know this because I was under the hood constantly putting transmission fluid in [redacted] corrected me saying she never said that Vato’s Garage took the engine out of her truck, but the engine in her truck was not the original oneI would like to know why; I would take back a statement of this serious nature and then seek help from any establishment who could help me seek justiceFor the swap of an engine and a non-running transmission in my vehicle and take back what Alex alleged that I said: “she never said that Vato’s Garage took the engine out of her truck” why I would mention this after the truck ran for almost two hours, meanwhile feeling lied to, then totally taken advantage of This she knew because her engine took up the whole engine bay and the engine currently in her truck is only half the size and is slant to one sideAnd why this was remembered so clearly? I explained to her that the engine in her truck is the exact same engine that was in it when she dropped it off for repairsThis statement negates what he was alleging in the prior statement: “ [redacted] came in at 8:00am stating that her truck was not running properly and she was never able to leave town, that after opening her hood she noticed the engine in her truck was not the original engine that was in her truck.” I came in to ask why there was no response to my phone calls and why the transmission stopped running altogether and then made the statement of what happened to the engine that was in my truckWhy was that not stated? I explained to her, due to her statement of saying we removed the engine and installed a different one that only I will be working on the truckIs this not clear that it is true all along; what I have been trying to state? Who is going to be the one working on the truck and why does there have to be such a long wait? Is there no customer satisfaction in any type of resolution? I brought her truck in to see what the problem is, and found the transmission cable is maxed out on adjustment and was nowhere near where it was placed while adjusting shift points after the rebuild I was told it would be a rebuilt transmission and to restate what he earlier stated: “Ms [redacted] paid for a transmission rebuild repair, not a rebuilt transmission.” Why would this happen if it was not done correctly? Was it not a just stated “rebuild?” [redacted] signed all documents and paid with no discrepancyI was not aware of signing but one of the Invoice # ***The other two I did not sign and I did complain as to why I paid twice for items on a tune-upThe other complaint was what about my warranty, and the credit I had from the previous balance was not recorded on any invoicesWhy is the transmission repair kit on the last statement after I had already paid for it? Why is this there when it was supposedly sent to a sublet contractor whom rebuilds transmissions? This is because the transmission was sublet to a transmission shop, Vato’s Garage does not fix transmissions as she was informed Why would I pay again and twice on Invoice 3473? Will this not be resolved fairly by Vato’s Garage (Alex) for what has happened and overcharged to the customer’s satisfaction of bringing my vehicle there and entrusting VG (Alex) to fix my truck and would have then came back again and again for further fixes?

*** *** brought her Chevrolet Cto Vato’s to have repairs done to it. Ms*** had explained to Alex (Owner) that she places her truck in drive while shutting down the engine to make the engine stop dieselingAlex explained to her, that she really needs to fix that issue as it is
really bad to do that to a vehicle. Ms*** authorized work and asked to move forward on her transmission. The transmission portion we required a upfront payment of $1225.00. This is because the transmission was sublet to a transmission shop, Vato’s Garage does not fix transmissions as she was informed. Ms*** paid for a transmission rebuild repair, not a rebuilt transmission. All of her invoices show Auto Trans Master Repair Kit that she was given. The truck did have a tune up, and Ms*** was advised about possibly needing her engine timing chain replaced never was her engine removed. On June 8th *** came in at 8:00am stating that her truck was not running properly and she was never able to leave town, that after opening her hood she noticed the engine in her truck was not the original engine that was in her truckThis she knew because her engine took up the whole engine bay and the engine currently in her truck is only half the size and is slant to one side. I explained to her that the engine in her truck is the exact same engine that was in it when she dropped it off for repairs *** called later on the same day asking how long until we are able to look at her truck. I explained to her, due to her statement of saying we removed the engine and installed a different one that only I will be working on the truck. *** corrected me saying she never said that Vato’s Garage took the engine out of her truck, but the engine in her truck was not the original one. I brought her truck in to see what the problem is, and found the transmission cable is maxed out on adjustment and was nowhere near where it was placed while adjusting shift points after the rebuild. This was more than likely caused by the way *** turns her vehicle off, and was told she needed to have the issue addressed. Vato’s Garage feels we are not responsible for anything in this complaint. The engine is the same one that was in her truck when it was brought to us. No money is owed, as there was no differences. *** signed all documents and paid with no discrepancy Invoice # * Paid $1,for estimate on transmission rebuild Invoice # *** Invoice # *** (final Bill) $2,- $1,= $which was paid on JUNE

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: He has not held up his professional mechanic duties along with the sublet transmission specialist warranty took advantage of me by overcharging two more times with both tuand transmission supposed rebuilt transmission that was sublet with a warrantyI have a non-running truck with a transmission that won't go into gearHe has never been courteous to me "*** ***" to even respond or resolve any vehicle issues because he took it personal of what I saidI feel he won't or neither will the owner (which I feel are the same person) because there is no warranty or there was no specialistI have dealt with this Vato's Garage business for the past three months and gave them ample opportunity to help me "Sharon ***" the customerMy family and I (single mother of five children) have suffered long enough for the short season's here in Alaska, being that I am native and subsistence hunt and fish for our food and needing this truck for this way of lifeThe other factor is my daughter whom is Active Army soldier is here in Anchorage on her leave and it has been an improvisation for my whole family, while my father had to come from the village to check out histruckHe is also a retired ex-military veteran himself and loaned me money for the tow of the truck to my apartmentI have other receipt upon further applications or request'sAlex and the owner of VG Business does not have no idea; of the "pain or suffering" they have caused my family and myself personally. Sincerely,*** ***
