Vaughan's Used Cars

My vehicle was repossessed in 8/10/2014. The owner informed me that I was two months behind on payments. My payments are $250/month and In total I have a balance of $585 left on the vehicle. After speaking with the owner he informed me that I can not get my vehicle back until I have paid (IN FULL) the remaining balance of $585 plus a repo fee of $300 totaling to $885. He also informed me that it is due 10 DAYS from the date of repossession it I will not b able to get my car back.Desired SettlementI would like my vehicle back in addition to all of my belongings that are currently in the vehicle. I also don't think its fair to have a time frame of only 10 DAYS to pay off the balance when the law States 30 DAYS.Business Response The Customers car was repossessed on 8-10-2014, due to default of payment. We issued Certified mail with return receipt a letter stating the buyer has 10 days which is North Carolinas reasonable notice found in General Statue 25-9. The buyer has contacted our office and made arrangements to pay the balance upon receiving the car. This complaint has been resolved.
