for the insurance company to approve the repairs. As happens, all repairs have been completed, the insured (the [redacted]) have spent the funds that the insurance company sent for the repairs and we have turned the matter over to our attorney for collections. There was a misunderstanding in what we discussed with [redacted] and her expectations. Sometimes the insured assumes that we do the work and the insurance company just pays us. This is not the case as approvals are needed and as happened in this instance we are now out $6,700 because the funds intended for us were spent by the insured. Thank you for the opportunity to reply and we would be happy to expedite anything, however, the only resolution at this point is for us to get paid.

Review: VBS Reconstruction was contracted through our home owners insurance to fix our bathroom and part of kitchen ceiling. The funds for the service have already been released by the insurance company a few weeks ago, I believe at the end of September. I spoke with [redacted] with VBS and he didn't have a plumber or anyone else scheduled to come out to fix it. He also said it would take up to two weeks for someone to come out. That would put us about 3 weeks since the funds were released. This is unacceptable to have to wait going on a least 26 days with no one coming out. We have been with out one bathroom and a hole in the kitchen ceiling for 60 days now. When the funds were released I figured someone would come out and start the reconstruction. Nothing has been done. And again no one has been scheduled to come out to our residence according to [redacted]. We are elderly people with health issues and my husband who has [redacted] and [redacted] is not to be put under a lot of stress. This is not helpful to his condition.Desired Settlement: I also want them to finish the job. It would take more days and time to find someone else to complete this job. The monies that were released to them. whatever is left over would be given to us. I don't feel we need to pay them the full amount since the job is I believe beyond a reasonable time table.
