We have recently purchased a GS puppy (Bear) DOB 04/20/2020 been taken to Becker Hospital for services (vaccinations, wellness, etc) his last appointment was on Sunday, August 23, 2020, at 2 p.m. he has enrolled in their wellness program the last visit I inquired about that he should be scheduled to be neutered in the month of October 2020 by then he will be six months old a standard or adequate age to perform the surgery. The technician will no not until nine months old, but it can be done at 6 months old I said that is when I would like to have it scheduled. On Sunday, August 23, 2020, later in the evening received a phone call from the vet just inquiring how Bear was doing? I told the vet he is doing well and she mentioned that I discussed with the technician about the surgery for Bear. The vet suggestion is to wait until in fact his older nine months or closer being an adult, but just a suggestion. I mentioned to the vet that Bear is not my first dog that we have other animals (Dogs/Cats) that we've had the surgery done between 4-6 months old. I told the vet I don't understand why am I getting such the run around first was told 4 months, then 6 months and now being told 9 months or older. I am a consequence animal owner that makes sure that all our animals get their vaccinations and either spayed/neutered not like others that let their dogs/cats roam the street and they are not fed or giving any water. On Monday, August 24, 2020, I sent a letter to Dr. Daniel ***, Medical Director for this location to please contact me to discuss the matter of why we are receiving such a run around about this matter of scheduling the surgery in the month of October 2020 as of today's date I have not heard from Dr. *** nor anyone from VCA Becker Hospital and Pet Resort.

To whom it may concern:On Wednesday, October 2, 2020 in the the evening I was contacted by Ms Maggie to discuss the matter. The matter was resolved I will be contacted to schedule the surgery appointment for our dog. Ms. Maggie could not understand why I was given the run around, but it has been taken care of.Respectfully

My husband took our dog for an allergy shot on April 13th, they did not allow my husband to go inside the building because of the virus. Our dog was brought out within minutes after he was taken in. The dog is still scratching, whining and licking his paws so I called and asked for a follow up visit to see if they could give him another injection. Yes bring him in. Wrong, I spoke to Dr. L and she stated she could not give him another injection until 4 weeks but could send him home with pills, I stated no, then she says it could be fleas and if they could give him a flea treatment, NO. Can we take the stitches out? NO (from surgery he had in Monterrey MX on March 6), can we do treatment for heartworms? NO! Can we clean his teeth? NO! he had his teeth cleaned on March 6. then she says I'm going to pass you to the technician, before I could say for what, the technician was on the phone telling me they "started" my dog on heartworm treatment and flea treatment. Whoa, whoa! I just spoke to the Dr. and I told her NO to all of the above and now you are telling me you already gave him treatment?? You better have not, I did not give you permission to do anything to my dog except give him an allergy shot. Ok that will be $31 visit! For what? The first visit did not help. I asked her if they put a muzzle on him today, no she says, how about on April 13th? no she says. Well I seriously doubt that you gave him an injection because not even my husband can muzzle him, he only lets me muzzle him! Ask the other vet and technicians who have seen him! I have to be called in to muzzle him
From the receptionist, to the doctor to the technician, they are all versed on selling more than what the customer is there for. Becker needs to be seriously investigated Never again will we take our pets to Becker.

I took my dogs to get rabies shots and they charged me for a physical exam, I paid because I did not want to argue but theyDID NOT PERFORM ANY TESTS OR EXAMINATIONS WHATSOEVER

On March 5th, 2015 I brought an injured stray dog to this "emergency vet clinic" for evaluation and assistance. (The dog bit me when I picked it up from the road due to pain from its injuries.) I paid over $400.00 for mostly unnecessary tests and procedures, and was told the dog probably would not recover due to extensive injuries from being run over by a car on the highway. At that point I advised the vet at the clinic that I could not be responsible for any further bills for this stray, and agreed that it should be euthanized due to the extent of injuries.

In January of 2017 I received a collections notice from *** in the amount of $298.85; apparently the vet or clinic had decided TO KEEP THIS POOR DOG ALIVE AND SUFFERING FOR 3 DAYS so they could avoid performing the rabies testing (required due to the dogbite). Apparently they decided to bill ME for the 3 hospital days, but NEVER SENT ME A BILL; they just sent to collections and NOW it is on my credit report.

I have contacted multiple people at this business by phone and in person (*** and ***) and despite their repeated assurances that they will look into the matter, I NEVER have received a call back and every time I call for them they are: on vacation, out for personal reasons, out to a conference, or simply not available. I have attempted/made contact at least 8 times with no follow-up from this business.

I brought *** in for rabies shot and nail trim. I wasn't charged until AFTER it was done. I was shocked that it was over $58! was told, "oh, now you have to pay for a wellness exam with vaccinations, we started doing on Nov. 1st" It's a good thing that I had the money,because I WAS NOT INFORMED of this new charge beforehand.I would love for someone to explain to me why I wasn't told of the charge prior to taking him back since you "just started doing it" When I called to inquire about the wellness exam, the girl said that diagnostics are not done in a wellness exam, but I printed a paper from their website telling of all services rendered during a wellness exam, diagnostics are included!! THAT'S FALSE ADVERTISING!!! I feel they are just scamming people out of an extra $25 I will not be going back. Can I get a refund Or can I get the exam that I paid for?????

Can you tell me how I can go about cancelling a complaint that I made? I believe that I acted hastily and did not give the business an opportunity to rectify the issue. It has since been resolved

Worst customer service ever since the new owners took over. The employees are rude, slow and just do not care about the people waiting. Each time I am here, I spend about 5-6 hours there. They have no sense of urgency. The doctors do not meet with me to speak about my pet. They just want to get you out of the door. They call me and say my pet is ready yet I get there and wait another 4 hours before I actually pick up my pet. JUST TO PICK HIM UP!!! I do not recommend this place to anyone. Save your time, energy and money.
