Requested a quote for a project on the exterior of my home that included repair and construction of new porchesFirst request was initiated April 14th, and it took about a week for contractor to show up on site for my quoteContractor arrived at my home, we talked about what we wanted, the scope of the project including materials, and everything was fineThe contractor stated it would be about 2-days for the quote to come in via e-mail2-days go by and no quoteI e-mail company asking if they had sent it yet, or to wrong e-mail by mistake Company stated that their "building dept" needed to get back to them before the quote could be completedAnother week goes by and no quoteI called the contractor and asked what the status wasContractor stated "I sent it already." I explained that I had not gotten it yet and that I wished to move quickly on the projectContractor stated that he would "I will send it again when I get back to my current job." E-mail with quote never arrivedI called once more next day with no answer At no time during this process did VDB ever contact me or sound concerned about my needs, or that I ever received the quoteNever did VDB suggest an alternate way of getting the quote to me, the customerI was left hanging, and ultimately strandedIf this is what someone has to go though for just a quote, I cannot imagine what it must be like when a project actually startsI am very disappointedMostly because my wife and I were very excited to get this home project done after it has been years in the making, saving up the money to set aside for this projectIt must have been too small of a job for VDB to want to begin, so better to try and ignoreIts a shame, because I will never refer anyone to VDB and will always tell people to stay awayGood customer service puts the customer firstWe were thrown to the side
