Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

We are very sorry that this customer felt threatened of uncomfortable because of the questions asked by my SolicitorThis is of course not our intent. We have found it to be the rule that all property owners should be fully aware of all the option on any home
improvement to make an informed decision and we also feel it is our responsibility to make sure that happens properly. Due to this fact, we request that all property owners be present for all appointments when possibleWe do not charge for our initial informational visit because our product line, including some of our paint and coating lines have many optionsTherefore, VDI never sends out a Professional Representative to a customers home without an appointment. We do everything possible to conform to our customer's schedules including working evenings and weekendsWe have been conducting this process for over years and found it to be the best for all parties concerned. We understand that this is not always possible for all homeowners, so if a homeowner cannot or is unwilling to conform to this policy, we respectfully invite them to meet us at our show room to pick up any and all the information they may need.We get all of our phone lists supplied by *** and then scrubbed by an outside source against the federal DO NOT CALL LISTI am sorry that this customer has never heard of the *** phone list company If someone does slip through, we place them on our list and then scrub it outWe believe we are abiding by all the current DO NOT CALL procedures Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this issue*** ***CEOVDI

It has come to my attention you are unsatisfied with the repair work performed by my company in regards to the windows we installed in your home in 2004. My service technician,...

[redacted], came to your home January 4, 2017 to inspect two windows that were leaking and he addressed both windows. The second –story window in the back of the home, above the patio cover, was inspected for leaks and it was noted that another company or individual had repaired some of the siding which involved pulling the window frame from its original location and installed it on top of the new siding work, without proper flashing or sealing. As stated in the Vinyl Design, Inc. Lifetime Limited Labor Warranty, “the warranty is null and void if the windows or window parts has been physical altered by any one other than person authorized by Vinyl Designs, Inc.” Pulling the frame of the existing window and reinstalling it constitutes physically altering the windows and we are unable to warranty the work by another individual. My recommendation would be to get the work fixed by the person or company that had changed the siding, as that would be their responsibility. As the picture shows, the yellow HardiePanel siding was installed with improper flashing and caulking practices. The white vinyl retrofit windows we installed are sealed to the existing aluminum frame windows per industry standards and the aluminum frame was pulled and reinstalled. The second window that was inspected was installed using standard retrofit window installation procedures as well, and my technician inspected the window for leaks and found no issues pertaining to the window or the installation of the window. The leak has water coming down behind the siding and then again behind the existing aluminum window frame which was not altered by Vinyl Designs, Inc. My recommendation foe that window would be to observe areas above this window to see if there are any penetrations in the siding or near the roofline where water could get in. Common penetration could include wires n or cabling that are screwed or nailed into the siding without being sealed and roof flashing that could have holes or tears. This could cause water to run down behind the siding and behind the aluminum window frame, allowing water to enter the home above the window frame. Leaking issues caused by the installation of the retrofit vinyl window cause problem below the window, which we observed none. At this time, Vinyl Design. Inc, (VDI) is unable to fix any of the leaking issues observed at the home. The warranty is null and void on the windows that was physically altered and the other leaking window is not leaking due to the new vinyl windows or labor related to that window.   [redacted]. Amazing product and outstanding service

Review: I was solicited by this company on the phone to come give me an estimate for painting the exterior of my home. When I told him I was interested, he began asking questions as to whether I was the sole owner of the home, was I married and, if I was, they needed my husband home for the estimate. When I asked why, he said that it was required to maintain their triple A rating with the Revdex.com. The solicitor kept pressing me even when I told him this was getting a bit more than uncomfortable with the conversation He couldn't give me a good reason why my spouse needed to be on the premises, they just had to know that he was home. While my house is alarmed and I have 2 big dogs at home, it leaves me a bit unnerved that these people badgered me the way they did. When asked where they got my name and phone number, they said from the Haynes Directory from City Hall. I found no such listing on the Internet. This company also has bad ratings on Google and Yelp. I resented how this call was handled on their end and what I felt was inappropriate probing as to when my husband was home, though he didn't need to be present. He did not respect that I am on the government's Do Not Call List.Desired Settlement: This company should respect the do not call list and learn to take NO for an answer. They need to never call me again.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

#1 Vinyl in California is a bug paradise. We fight wasps, black widow spiders, daddy long legs, mice, lizards, bees.

#2 Vinyl Designs authorized installers (who are now employees) improperly installed the Tyvek and siding resulting in multiple water leaks

#3 The improperly installed vinyl also resulted in very severe wood rot

#4 The vinyl siding from Vinyl Designs is ugly and improperly installed. Nails are proud, window and door trim is especially ugly, corners are off and seams don't match, horizontal lines are not the same from one section of our home to another

#5 During heat, like now, sections of the vinyl siding pop out....making it even easier for rodent and pest invasion

#6 Vinyl Designs authorized installers still haven't finished 2 exterior doors

#7 I found dealing with [redacted] to be ugly, he was rude, coarse, insulting and condescending...he got so bad I refused to let him on the property unless my attorney was present as a witness

If you still want vinyl, and you are good with rodents and pests, I do not recommend getting it from [redacted] (Vinyl Designs)....for better product, installation, and customer service, seek a different company... I wish I could go back in time and NOT do business with Vinyl Designs or any other Vinyl siding company.

I recently had VDi install new Vinyl Windows in my house and they are great. They look really nice and I have noticed my house is more quiet than before and my Electricity bill is lower. Not to mention the house stays at a more comfortable temp. I'd suggest VDI because they did a great job installing my windows.
