I purchased 2010 Audi TTS from this dealer. I worked mainly with Scott, but I don't think anyone else would be different. First, they assured me to maintain/replace the brake fluid and that the mechanic "Anthony" will at least top off or replace the brake fluid, but I found out from him afterwards that he didn't do it!! The day after I bought this car and drove it home, I found out that the CD Changer behind the NAV System doesn't work. I told Scott about it by text and in person, and apparently he knew about it and did not disclose it to me. Why? ....... Here is why.. When I asked him for the reason of not letting me know before about this, his response was "Well..... We don't check stuff like these but we check main components and parts of the car!!!!" Really, so this is not part of the car that you sell to your customers!! How about saying " I'm sorry, we will replace it or fix it for you" like a regular dealer would do!! Scott, offered to help, but only falsely. He sent me to his buddy shop to look at this changer, and that guy called Scott and told him that the changer is damaged and beyond repair, and it needs to be replaced and he found one for Scott on ebay for only $255, so when I went back to Scott to follow up with him, his response was exactly "I'm not going to pay $500 to replace it for a car I just sold!!" but then he said, after a second, let me look at some options for you, ..... and here is where his games started to play. When I say "Games" I mean it. For almost 3 weeks, he has been elusively stringing me with scenarios and drama every single freaking day from "We may find one from one of our cars" and "Well, we may find from someone that we know and deal with to replace yours" or "let's wait to see if one of our salvage cars can have one that we can pull out from" and on and on and on....... I showed him the link of one CD changer online from ebay for only $255 with a shipping fee of $45 and his response "that should be fine, NO worries, tomorrow if we don't get one from our car, I will buy it". Tomorrow comes and the day after comes and next week comes and weeks come... and nothing is happening. When I said almost three weeks (as of November 14, 2019) and it would be a month and 2 months and could be more, if I continue to work with him. His goal is to string me as much as possible to get me tired of this and forget about it! His goal is not to be honest and transparent and say what he truly want to do. Instead of fixing their problems and their lies, he chose to evasively drag me for very very long time. I have been calling this man and texting this man at least two times every single freaking day of these 3 weeks and nothing is being done!!! and I'm getting very livid from this place . Just full of liars and evasive people. All I'm getting are fake promises and lies and drama. Why? Why not just being honest and done with this! ? You cannot, because that's how your place run, Scott!!! This reflects nothing but a dishonest evasive dealer that you would not want to trust buying your car from. Dishonest, elusive and not straightforward people to deal with, is a very big problem and no wonder all the terrible reviews that I read about them. I do not count reviews from people walked by and test drove one of their cars and walked away. I count on reviews from people who actually "bought" cars from these guys. Just shame on a dealer who does all that to his customers. Such a cheap dealer I have never experienced in my whole life. I offered to him to even handle the installation cost of this CD Changer if he buys it, but yet they are cheap enough not to do it. Now, I have to buy it, and purchase the PIN Code or have Audi flash tune it to make a used unit I buy work for this car. That's IF AUDI accepts to work on pre-owned component that doesn't belong to this car! I don't care if they respond or not as it means nothing to me. Shame on a dealer who does all these lies and evasion. My free advice to you..STAY AWAY..

I'm so glad I found these guys. I had been to other places that wasted hours of my time. I called Scott and told him what I was looking for. When I showed up he had a large selection of very nice cars. I drove 3 before I made a decision. When I sat down with Jason the finance manager and he explained the terms I really felt like they were helping me and not trying to get over on me. I got a great rate and my payment was lower than I expected. At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to finalize the deal that day, but since they didn't pressure me I went a head and did the deal. A few days later my check engine light came on. I called Scott, he got me in that day and fixed it. It ended up only being a crack gas cap. They earned a customer for life from me.

I have not been reimbursed for expenses I paid to correct a problem they charged me for but did not provide
on May 27,2019 I talked to Scott F at Vdubs only Dallas, and I agreed to buy a *** he informed me the car only came with one key but he could have a spare key made for an extra $120. I agreed to that and he would ship the car to me, on June my Bank sent this dealership $11,564.90 to pay for the car, I didn't receive the car until June 22.2019, Scott kept telling me the car had shipped and was in Louisiana due to the shipper I found out that was a lie and the car was at the dealership and was picked up by a shipper until June 21,2019. I got the car and it stopped 15mins after it was unloaded off the truck, I had to have it towed home and I had to find the problem and replace a faulty relay, Scott assured me he would take care of the expenses for that, no extra key came with the car, nor did a bill of sale, a airbag disclosure, or a State of Texas Vehicle Inspection Report came with the vehicle, I have spoken and texted Scott numerous times and he's been said the key was on the way after a month no key showed up, I told him I just wanted what I paid for and if he wasn't going to have a key made he shouldn't have taken my money for it, so we agreed I would take the car to a local dealership and have a key made and he would cover it to satisfy the sale. after having the key made he lied about sending me the money that was owed and then he stopped responding to my texts and calls. He owes me $120 for the key that he charged me for which was never made or sent to me, $162.61 for the key form the VW dealership, and $151.11 to have the key programmed to the car at the dealership for a total of $433.72

Desired Outcome

I want the money that's owed to me which totals $433.72

They have a great selection online. I found several Jetta's that I liked. I submitted my application ahead of time to make sure there were no hold ups. Showed up at 5:15, picked the one I liked and was out of there in 45min. It doesn't get any easier than that. Jason and Scott did a great job and i'll be a customer for life.

Had a great experience with this dealership and Jason in Finance. Had lots of cars to choose from and finally found the color I wanted. After several emails back in forth, we showed up and Jason had the car and paperwork ready. Smoothest transaction I've ever had in buying a car. Go see these guys and ask for Jason.

I will say that I was very leery about purchasing a used car from a small independent dealer. This experience wasn't even close to what I expected.

I was contacted by Jason after I had filled out a credit app online with an approval up to a certain amount. This was within the range of the car I was looking at so I made arrangements to come down and see the car in a few days. Unfortunately the car sold before I was about to get down there but Jason called me to let me know this so I did not make a wasted trip. We discussed the inventory he had and he also told me that if I was set on a certain make and model that he would keep an eye out for one and let me know when one came in.

I ended up finding a car on their website that I like and went down to test drive it. Jason is a friendly and very casual guy. The dealership itself is a very casual atmosphere so do not expect suits and ties. Jason pulled the car out of the warehouse that it was parked in and I took it for a test drive. When I returned, I mentioned a couple of concerns with the car and Jason let me know that he would make sure that I was completely satisfied with the car when I purchased it.

The paperwork was easy and very straight forward and Jason made good on his commitment that I would be satisfied. The day after I got the car home, one of the issues returned and event though Jason and I discussed that I was buying the car as-is, he had be bring the car back, gave me a loaner to drive and had the issue fixed. He was not obligated to do this but he still did.

For me, this was a great experience. Jason was great to work with, completely up front and I felt comfortable with his answers to my questions. Not many dealers, small or large will take care of a problem that happens after the vehicle leaves the lot when it is sold as-is. These guys impressed me!

I had trouble getting approved at other dealerships. I was referred to Jason at Vdubs and he was able to get me approved. The car was in excellent shape and I was completely satisfied. The entire process took less than an hour. I walked in, drove the car, signed papers and was on my way home. I will continue to send all my friends and family to see these guys.

I purchased a Passat from Vdubs Only! From sales to finance it was the best experience I have ever had purchasing a vehicle. Scott was awesome! I Highly recommend Vdubs Only!

I purchased a vehicle last week from these guys. Jason handled the finances and was nothing but helpful and professional. In fact, all the staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable about my car buying experience. I would recommend VDubsOnlyDallas to ANYONE looking for their next, or first vehicle!! Xoxo

2/17 pick up stuff property missing
3/5 car posted info not updated. nice windshield Carless mother of 4 w/2 jobs, humiliated, treated like a criminal by both. Unethical in biz & as humans!

Desired Outcome

The proper resolution would be to honor the contract and give me back my car with apologies for the inconvenience, humiliation, stress, anxiety and hardship this has all cost. If they were upfront and honest and highlighted this practice as it is unheard of with other reputable companies. But that would mean 5 years of dealing with westlake and that sounds like they are a nightmare throughout. Vdubs could and should have worked to find other financing to make up for this ordeal which i do believe they could have or offered to hold the car until the loans cleared and options opened up . At minimum the payment, late charge, cost of windshield and what spectrum is charging me since the equipment in my trunk was missing. I have worked in customer service my whole life and there are always options to help people especially people that were treated unethically. Cars and homes are major parts of our daily lives. its not like returning shoes or something. To have these unspoken technicalities that are not explained to customers and designed to set them up for failure are just bad biz. The exec at Westlake absolutely could have decided to do the right thing. And the dealer also could have chosen to help find another way rather than leaving my family with this hardship. I have never had a car taken from me. I have always paid them off early with out being late and actually handed my two other cars down to my teen sons but i have none. Yeah i could take one of them back but that would not be the right thing to do. I know i do whatever i can for my customers. I will find a way to help them and leave them feeling that not only are they important that I want to get them a resolution that is acceptable and reasonable. I don't care what the unspoken rules are. Voiding a contract that is current with a customer that makes every attempt to correct the issue especially when they were not made aware of the "rules" is completely reasonable. Accepting money to make an account current and assuring the customer the issue is resolved then taking their care is not only bad biz but completely underhanded and shady. The dealer could and should have done everything in their power to influence the lender to do the right thing or found another solution and refrain from subjecting their customers to this nightmare lender. AND since they know of these unwritten and unheard of rules make sure their customer is not only aware but that it is explained and put in writing. However I feel this is not done by design and both companies gain from doing this to people. This is the type of situation that makes you lose faith in humanity. Not asking for any handouts or special treatment just fair and ethical treatment and with all of the "rules" clear to all upfront from the start. I could and would never work with or for any company that is so deceitful, dishonest and underhanded. There is always an option to do the right thing and renew people's faith.. if you really want to do the right thing.

We pride ourselves in very carefully going over all the numbers on a contract before a person signs the contract. We make sure they understand each line of the contract. Upon signing the contract the customer is agreeing that EVERYTHING on the contract is true and correct. If it wansn't, then why would someone sign? The repairs took longer than usual due to customer rescheduling multiple times and we try to accomodate their schedule. But all repairs were fininshed. Some lenders have what's called a 1st payment default. This is explained clearly when we inform the customer of the payment due date. The payment is due ON THAT DATE. I the complaint the customer admits being late. The customer admits to assuming that there is a grace period. We have no control over her being late or the lenders policy on 1st payments. Unfortunately she was late and the lender demanded the repurchase of the contract by Vdubs. Once that happens nothing can change that. After politely asking the customer to bring the car back multiple times, we had to demand it because customer was not cooperating. We did try to seek other financing options, but due no other lender would approve the loan. Once the car was returned, it was place in a secure location, locked, and nothing was removed from the vehicle. So i'm not sure about any missing items. I'm sorry for your experience, but we can't change lender policies when customers don't make their payments

Customer Response • Jun 18, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
All of this is untrue. If I haven't already I can provide the documentation. Not only does it not mention this first payment policy I was not made aware of it AND never provided copies of the documents from the dealership. I was finally provided the copies from the finance company AFTER the car was taken. I made multiple request for the documentation from the dealer who never provided it and even told me they had provided it. I was originally told me he would make copies and I would get them when I picked up the car which I did not. I was told they were in the mail but I never received them. I have saved text messages from the Scott (sales) proving this. Also since making this complaint I have noticed hard inquiries on my credit from this dealership in February, after this buy back policy demand was made from the finance company to the dealership but before I was aware of it and before the car was taken which I never gave permission for. I want any and all credit inquiries from this company and any of their finance companies removed from my credit immediately as well as the financial request I made previously. As far as belongings being locked in the car and secured. I don't trust anything this company or its employees say. I have multiple text messages I can provide that prove Scott lied on multiple occasions. I also have a witness that was there when I went to claim my personal belongings that heard Scott claim that they could not have got in the trunk as the key they had did not work yet they were able to drive the car there AND being a VW dealer he obviously knows there is a trunk release in the car that would open the trunk. Just another lie from him that anybody could see. I was also denied the time to get my belongings when they took the car as I was told they did not have time for that and again threatened to call the police if I didn't let them take it. This company and their affiliates, partners, etc are running a complete scam and I want nothing to do with them, everything having to do with them removed from my credit and to be reimbursed as previous requested. This is far from closed.

VDubs Only Response • Jun 20, 2019

I'm sorry for your experience. Bottom line is the customer was late. On the contract it clearly states the due date of the 1st payment. If the customer fails to make that payment, which she did by her own admission, then the customer has failed to fulfill the terms of the contract. Not all lenders have a 1st payment default. We tell our customers of these policies. Afterwards we tried to secure financing through other lenders to enable her to keep the car. We can do that because we have a signed application from her allowing us to. Unfortunately I can't change Westlake's policty, but if the payment would have been made on time, none of this would be an issue.

Vehicle was not delivered in the condition it was advertised, nor the condition it was in when I saw in person.
I saw a 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan for sale via Car Gurus, contacted Scott about the vehicle, seemed nice, etc. Did not mention that any damage had occurred, nor that it had been in an accident. Had clean car fax. Pictures online showed no noticeable cosmetic issues, and had all components (windshield wipers, head rests, etc ) Upon arriving I immediately discovered two issues, broken radio and broken driver's side seat (would not function/move) I am unsure how they did not discover this before trying to sell the vehicle. He also told me it had been in a very minor fender bender, but only on the back. It looked acceptable, in the rear, to me. After assuring me the radio and seat was just a fuse, I waited an hour and still nothing. They said they would fix the issues. Having looked over the car I can confirm I did not notice any markings under the wheel wells, and it had all head rests, as well as two key fobs. So I stay in touch, they fix the two issues, and I agree to purchase and they ship to me. Takes them a week to finally ship it. This was about a week after they had received the money from the bank loan I took out. Get the vehicle and immediately notice it is missing the second key fob, a head rest, the wheel wells appear to have been pried off and put back on the drivers side as it has marks/indents in it. Additionally the rear driver's side reflector is completely broken off/gone, and it was there previously, and was there in the pictures online as well. I contact Scott and long story short for 2 months he tells me he's going to send the head rest because someone took it off to stitch it up, and the fob and a reflector, etc and somehow despite promising multiple times he never did. It seems like this vehicle was damaged after I had inspected it, and they sold it to me anyways. But I feel as if I paid for a vehicle that I did not receive. These seem to be very underhanded business practices and when I've tried to call the business to talk to someone else, Scott seems to screen my calls as he answered one time, already in mid sentence about shipping the package with the mentioned missing items, that are part of the vehicle I paid for. I have all of the texts I would be happy to provide if needed.

Desired Outcome

Personally I feel I am entitled to some sort of monetary compensation as even with the missing items aside, the amount of time wasted, lies/promises and fact that the vehicle appears to be slightly damaged when it wasn't in person. Beyond that, I would at the very least like to have the items promise that I PAID FOR, as they are part of the vehicle purchase agreed upon by the business. I paid what they asked and yet I did not receive the vehicle in its entirety.

We apologize for any inconvenience. We did our best to handle this in a timely manner and will learn from our mistakes. I'm glad we got you all the equipment promised.

I started the process for canceling a extended warranty in January this year and I'm still awaiting payment from vdubs only.
I started the process of canceling my extended warranty in January of 2018. I purchased the warranty through vdubs only when I bought my used car from them about 1 year prior. I started out by calling them and talking with the finance manager. She emailed me the cancellation form, I filled it out and emailed it back to her and she told me she would send it to the warranty company (EFG companies XXX-XXX-XXXX).

I waited 1 month and I contacted the EFG companies to inquire about the cancellation. They informed me that the warranty was still active and that they hadn't received anything about canceling the warranty. So I filled out the form again and sent it directly to them.

I followed up with them about a month later and I was informed that they would be sending a statement to vdubs only and that they would have to send me a check.

I followed up with vdubs only about a month later. I started off talking with the finance manager. She didn't know anything about the warranty cancellation and hadn't seen the statement. She told me she would look into it.

I continued to call a couple times a week to try and get some progress made. I ended up talking with a salesman named Scott several times. At first he told me he had to have their warranty guy look into it. So I gave that some time and I called back about a week later. I got ahold of Scott and asked what was going on with the cancellation and he told me he hadn't heard anything yet but he will look into it and call me right back.

He never called me back. I called again the next week and got the same story and he never called me back again. So I gave it another week and called again. I got the same story again! So this time I told scott if they didn't get this figured out that I was going to report them to the Revdex.com and write a review about my experience with them.

That evening at 4:50 I received one text message from I believe Scott. I received a picture of a computer screen which had all of the warranty information and cancellation information on it and a text that said "I got further than anyone". The message did not say who it was from though. This was on 05/22/18.

On June 4th I contacted them again to find out what was going on. I talked with a women who said she would get to the bottom of it and get back to me in a hour. 2 hours later I still hadn't heard back from them so I called back again. I got ahold of Scott and he went over what he figured out and told me all he needed was a address so they knew where to send the check. I gave him my address.

I waited one week. I hadn't received a check so I called them on Monday June 11th. I got ahold of Scott and I asked him if a check was wrote out and mailed yet. He said yes so I said okay that's all I needed then.

I waited another week and still I hadn't received a check so I called them again yesterday June 18th and I got ahold of Scott again. I explained to Scott that it had been 2 weeks and I still hadn't received a check. I told him that I wanted it resolved that day. I also told him I wanted a tracking number for the check. I informed him that if this wasn't taken care of today I was going to report them to the Revdex.com. He said he would leave a message for the owner and that he would follow up with me later that day. No one ever called me back and I still haven't received a check from them.

Here's some of the warranty cancellation information that I received in the text message.

Customer refund: $2026.06
Dealer statement credit: $1701.28
Purchase date: 01/12/2017
Cancellation date: 01/24/2018
Cancellation fee: $50

Also when I talked to Scott on June 4th he told me they were only going to send me a check for $1701.28 because that's the amount the warranty company issued them. I believe I should be paid the full amount of $2026.06.

Desired Outcome

I would like to be paid the full amount of $2026.06 that I'm owed and I would like a tracking number once the check is sent.

We apologize for how this was handled. We had a change in personnel and the ball was dropped. Please call and ask for the owner so we can work out the warranty refund

Failure to provide contract and warranty documents.
I have requested the contract and warranty documents and still have not received them. This dealership is a horrible example of a car dealer. They straight up told me the sales men we had (that overcharged us $2000 but there is "nothing we can do because he is no longer here and we are not responsible for his actions) stole over 5 cars between him and his son. Lots of other nasty details they told me, then refused to help me. They were offering to give out this guys phone number. That information is confidential and they should not be doing that. Horrible situation all the way around. I just need my documents and to move on. The salesmen would not let me ask questions and kept moving on. His name was Mike***. The sale price of the car was an even $7,000. However that happens. I have tried to get information from the financing company because Mike*** said that it was a friend who got our contract done. We were trying to look into the possibility of receiving kick backs but the finance company said the guy who financed the car was no longer working there. I would not personally contact Mike*** because that could be considered as harassment and giving out his number is confidential information.

Desired Outcome

I just need my contract and warranty documents. A refund of the overcharged money would be nice as well as they could see we were charged more.

VDubs Only Response

In October Mrs. called our dealership regarding a vehicle her husband purchased. She called and asked us for money back from the sales price of the vehicle due to total loss 8 months after purchasing the vehicle. She was reading numbers off the contract that was provided to Mr. at the time of purchase. In response to customer complaint, the signed contract (please see attached documents) were 100% explained, delivered and executed as shown. Contract clearly shows sales price, warranty, and debt cancellation (gap) and was signed by the customer. Customer owes nothing and carries a zero balance after total loss. We have never heard from or spoken with Mr. himself regarding any of these complaints, being that he is the only buyer listed on the contract, we are not sure how these complaints even came about. That being said, these complaints are 100% inaccurate and dishonest and the documents attached prove that.

I'm not sure where the miscommunication occurred but all of the information was disclosed and agreed upon at the time of purchase when the customer reviewed and signed the contract.

Mr. was provided with all the documents signed on the day of purchase. However, I will *** the documents to Mr. today as requested.

I have attached the *** receipt with the tracking number for the copies of the contact and the warranty that will go out this afternoon arriving December 1st, 2017 to Mr..

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Address documents were sent to is not the correct address, nor the address listed on the complaint form.

VDubs Only Response

I'm sorry about the documents being sent to the wrong address. Mrs. did not inform us of an address change so it was mailed to the address that was on the contract. I will *** yet again another copy to the new address. Attached is the *** receipt for the documents requested that will go out today!
