preparred my taxes for 2019. The price was $285.00. After 3 weeks of calls and emails to ***, he assured me they were filed. The IRS still hadn't recieved my tax return. Today 2/26/2020, he told my wife they were not filed because he didn't have his EFIN number. I feel I was lied to for three weeks. After I spoke to the IRS, they advised I file my own taxes. I had to file my taxes and they have all ready been recieved and accepted as of today 02/26/2020. Through ***, the price was $170.00.
I did send a complete refund check to this client for services rendered. It was my understanding that the EFIN number that was in place was in good standing or current. When I went to efile my first batch of returns were sent they were rejected. The EFIN number that I thought was good was closed or cancelled due to inactivity. So in the meantime we went and had to reapply for a New EFIN. As I proceed through tax season im still I n waiting for this number to be furnished by the IRS. It could take up to 45 days. I’m sorry for any confusion or misunderstanding. But there was a complete refund sent to the client. Thank you for your time in this matter.
