I am rejecting this response because:
There are inaccurate statements in Mr***’s replyThe project wasn’t on scheduleHe says everything would have been ready for installation of the cabinets in late MayHowever, Tom, the production manager, said the cabinets would be ready to install the week of May 9th; I never told David it would be late MayHe refers to “logistical issues” and “had to post-pone a ‘couple’ of days of work.” According to the time-line I attached with my complaint, you can see that it was far more than a couple of times that he either didn’t call or had assorted reasons for not showing up for workAlso, when he did come, he rarely stayed more than a couple of hoursObtaining a steamer caused an 18-day delay from March 22th to April 8thAs I said in my complaint, the painting contractor who finished the job told me steaming isn’t necessary, nor is it the best way to remove wallpaperDavid said he has been in business yearsOne would think he would own all the necessary toolsHe states that he “tried to settle the matter and reach an agreement,” and that I was not interested in any ‘reasonable’ offerHe was in no way negotiating a settlementEach time it was discussed, he found more (and more ambiguous) reasons to lower the amount he said he would refund(Refer to time-line) As for how “the work was conducted,” what he calls outlandish statements came from the contractor and workers who redid and finished the workHis description of my actions is very overstatedIt is true that I became angry with things he was saying, but given the circumstances, I do not agree that it was “unreasonable and irrational”Finally, he says his statement “explained all expenses.” The point is, his charges for work done were very unreasonable, and he charged inappropriately for steamer rental and a steamer purchase, which is a tool of his business, and for trips he made looking for the steamer
Hello, My name is David *** owner of VeersLLCMy company has been in business for years with absolutely no issues until nowThe project was going along on scheduleEverything would have been ready for the install of the cabinets in late MayI had a few logistical issues with the
company had had to post-pone a couple of the days of workThere was still no danger of the project not being completed on timeWhen things began to fall apart *** became very unreasonable and irrationalShe told me Veers could not continue working contracts until I settled with herI tried many time to settle the matter and reach an agreementShe was not interested in any reasonable offer she would ridicule me and my company calling me names and making outlandish statements about how the work was conductedI communicated with her at least times in a monthShe would continue with ridicule and slanderous statements instead of being rational and resolve the matter. The final statement I sent her explained all expenses and it included a check for the remaining balanceI did all I could to put this matter behind me.SincerelyDavid C***
