I moved from [redacted] to [redacted] with Vega Line Moving & Storage Services and they were truly amazingThe experience was greatThey took well care of my belongings and were able to bring my goods on time unlike other companiesThe movers that came had an amazing attitude, were very kind and handled all my belongings with careI really appreciate the service and would definitely recommend them to anyone who would like to moveThank you to Vega Line once again for a stress free move I STRONGLY RECOMMEND

Great company to give your furniture a vintage lookI highly advise NOT to use this companyEven if you are fully covered by your own insurance company
After your belongings are loaded they quickly ask you to sign and agree the papers where you sign away all your rights
Photos taken hours before move showing furniture without marks, scratches etc are not accepted as prove as on paragraphs you signed is stated
Over 60% of my furniture which includes the big items arrived damaged by the companyOne item was missing a screwed leg, one furniture is totally damagedMost of the cardboard boxes were deformed and brokenThey place them on top of each other until they reached the ceiling regardless weightI filled in a claim over pages long
I feel sorry for all those people who share bad experiences and mainly the people unloading all the damaged boxes and belongings who get shouted by the owners

I wish zero stars was an option.

Brief summary: Vega movers broke and scratch up my furniture, refused to open and unload the truck at delivery until I paid in full, did not adhere to their moving schedule at all.

My wife and I scheduled our move a month in advance with Tina from Vega Line Moving and Storage Services. We had preboxed all belongings and Vega stated that their movers will pad/wrap all furniture in blankets and safely delivery everything. They provided a delivery window between 8-10 days from pickup from Vancouver, BC, Canada to [redacted], CA, USA due to international border crossing paperwork. They stated that their secure storage facility will consolidate other items to similar destinations, which may take 3 or 6 days.

On the day of the move, three movers came. It was an older gentleman (the uncle) and two younger kids (the nephews). They said they would start loading the truck. I stepped outside to move my car, while I was walked back in. They had my wood furniture upside down on a dolly with no padding, boxes stacked on top and were banging the furniture against the door trying to make it fit through. I asked them to be more careful and stated that they should treat my belongings as if it was theirs, or their parents. They laughed it off and kept loading. They made several trips. As I was inside the house, they were loading things into the truck outside where I couldn't see them. I thought they would be using blankets on all my items.

My wife and I drove from Vancouver to Los Angeles over 3 days and had made it back in the evening. On the fourth day, a Vega moving truck unexpectedly came to our home and the driver had our household items to be unloaded. Vega never provided any notification that they would arrive early. The stated that he did not have any help as he was not able to find illegal Mexican aliens at the local home depot and he needed my help to unload the truck. I told the driver that hiring illegal aliens is against the law and that it jeopardizes me if anyone gets injured on my property. He did not seem to care.

Before removing the lock on the the truck, the Vega Moving driver said that he needed payment in full. He said that he cannot allow me to see my items without payment. We provided a credit card to him and he called in to make the charge with the Vega Moving main office. Once payment was confirmed, he opened the truck and lowered the ramp. As I entered to view my items, I noticed that they had torn the fabric on my bed, I had deep scratches on my furniture, metal table legs were bent, furniture was scuffed with dirt and not a single thing had a blanket or was wrapped! As the mover unloaded items, he was dropping boxes labeled as "Fragile". I had double bubble wrapped a 16"x4" glass shelf that went with furniture. He dropped the box right in front of me and I heard it break. He picked it up and pretended it didn't happen. I told him that the box had glass in it, so he grabs the opposite edge of the box and rips the lid off on the side that didn't hit the ground. He didn't remove the bubble wrap and said, "See, its OK!". When I opened the other end, 2 of the 4 glass were broken.

After delivery, we called and emailed several times to complain about the issues. They did not call us back or email us back. Since Vega Moving had collected my money, they appeared to be disinterested in addressing any of my complaints. We had to harass them for weeks. We asked for the owners name, but Vega would not provide it, stating that they did not know his name. Until we threatened litigation 2 months later did they offer to "settle" the matter with us. We received a check for $150.00 CAD, which became $111.00 USD. The amount of damage they did to my bed and furniture cannot be repaired. Replacement will cost me over $7,000 in total. Talking to Vega was pointless.

The root cause of my problem is that I didn't check online reviews before selecting the mover. We called and listened to Tina, and made the decision based on what she said on the phone. Big mistake! Never trust a salesperson, trust Yelp!

In closing, I will NEVER use Vega moving again and would not recommend anyone else do so either. Pay someone else for your move. It will be worth it to use anyone else but Vega.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND.

I am heartbroken. I contacted Vega Lines in good faith. I entrusted them with my move West to East Coast move. When my things finally arrived, 25% of my valuable furniture was broken and cannot be repaired or replaced, they charged me $ 3500.00 extra and my photography equipment worth $ 20,000 was stolen. This company takes advantge of good hardworking folks, skins them, destroys items and when you complain, they simply say "we do not care as we've charged your credit card". Please please please be warned that is an extremely shady and corrupt company and do not commit the dire mistake in hiring them. I am ruined.
