Vegas Auto Sales Reviews (4)

Review: I purchased a vehicle from this dealership. First, the inspection was illegal because I bought the car in 9/13. The inspection expires in 9/14. When I got home, the vehicle began to make a loud grinding noise from the brakes, so I continued to an auto parts store only to find there were no brakes. I called and they did fix the calipers (they were bad because the car had no brakes for so long) the odometer also never worked, and nobody will legally inspect a vehicle without being able to read mileage . I ended up making several repairs, and paid the loan off , only to find that the $1000 that I put down on the vehicle was not applied to anything, and I was instructed by Vegas auto to pay an additional $750 in cash for tax and title transfer. They also kept the second set of keys and lock remote, telling me that they would give them to me when the vehicle is paid off . I financed through Mark one (1) financial. They say I must obtain the key from Vegas , who has left no forwarding information. I am concerned that they may be operating under a different name and sell more dangerous vehicles and fraudulently put state inspections on them, in addition to the whole finance issue with the cash only tax payment, and the disappearing $1000. There were LITERALLY NO BRAKES ON THE VEHICLE!Desired Settlement: I would like my keys, I'm actually afraid that these people might come steal my car from me , after all they have done else that is illegal. I would like some legitimate proof of the tax being paid.(i did get mytitle and owners card)the dealership also installed a GPS tracking device in the vehicle which had been removed via the financial institution, and was told to return to the dealership, so it's in my house, which is where my car is parked outside of. I mostly just want the keys they have

Review: This is my second complaint against Vegas Auto Sales on this vehicle, first complaint filed on 11/15. I purchased a 2002 Ford Explorer 4x4 on 9/13/2013, within 24 hours I had to replace the serpentine belt. It has only been 3 months and more issues already! The back window is off track, the transmission is slipping and with the first big snow I've come to find out that the 4 wheel drive DOES NOT work, which is the MAIN reason I purchased this vehicle. It was advertised as having 4 wheel drive but to my surprise it doesn't work, go figure!! My Honda Accord goes better in the snow! With the limited amount of miles I have put on this vehicle and the fact that I have only made 2 payments so far I should NOT be having all these issues!!! You can't excuse this away! I take care of my vehicles so please do not come at me with any bull or excuses like you have in other comments. My vehicles have the oil changed and maintenance performed regularly which is why my honda has over 300,000 miles and still runs like new! It's not that I got a good deal, I paid $363 less than KBB value for excellent condition which we can agree this does not meet those requirements!!!I'm extremely frustrated that companies take such advantage of people. I was NOT offered the opportunity to purchase a warrantee at the time of purchase so in this case it's not the nature of the business or maybe I misunderstood this comment and the "nature of the business" is to take advantage of hard working people!! I will be contacting the company that I have the car loan with to let them know that I was knowingly sold a vehicle with mechanical issues. Please do not insult my intelligence this time with a reply that couldn't have been further from the truth, no warrantee was offered to me and you inspect these vehicles prior to sell so you know what is wrong with them!Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of all monies paid to date or the truck repaired so that the 4 wheel drive actually works like advertised!

Review: Vegas Auto buys cheap crap cars does the bare minimal repairs marks them up and sales them to people for a large profit. I had my car for almost a year and the engine went, but first the brakes where installed wrong and a spring came off and damaged the brake drum. When I contact Vegas for the problems and a way to fix them they said it was not their problem. I still make payments on a car that is not even worth what I owe on the car even if the engine had not gone the car is not worth what they sold to me for. I feel taken advantage of and when I tried to get another loan through Vegas and use the current engine blown car as a trade in coupled with a down payment they ignored me all together. I went to a rival car lot and got a better deal and a year warranty with the new car; however, due to the condition I of the original car I couldn't use it as a trade in and now am stuck with 2 car loans.Desired Settlement: I would like my $ back for the car, or at least a credit towards the voluntary repossession I now have on my credit for a junky car they sold me. John and Aaron are crooks.

This letter is in response to Sarah Burrows complaint. She claims we buy cheap cars and do "bare minimal" repairs and mark them up for a large profit. Some of what she states is correct. We do buy cheaper cars and do minimal repairs. We cater to clients that generally have very little money and less than perfect credit. If we were to fix every little thing on the cars we sell, we would not be able to sell the cars at a reasonable price. That is why they flock to us - the cars are priced reasonably and the payments are reasonable. The cars we sell are inspected and meet all safety standards set forth by the state of PA Pennsylvania. We encourage all customers to purchase a warranty; as all cars, new or used are likely to break down at some point. That is the nature of anything mechanical. Few heed this advice and usually find themselves in a predicament where they don't have a warranty nor the funds to repair the vehicle. At this point, they must find someone to lay blame, it's human nature to avoid the mirror where many times the problem they are having could have been alleviated by the image staring right back at them. It's far easier to blame the car dealership, after all, the dealership should have known that engine was going to be rendered useless in a years time!!! As for selling the car for a large profit, nothing could be further from the truth, the car was sold to her below book value ($4,795 was the selling price, not $5,300 as she states). I will enclose a copy of the bill of sale. I would also like to address another statement in her letter. She states "I feel taken advantage of and when I tried to get another loan through Vegas...", If we treated her so poorly and sold her such an inferior product, why would she even entertain the notion of purchasing another vehicle from us ? That doesn't 't make any sense to us. We sold her a nice car with low mileage (approximately 53,000 miles). We don't possess any? special powers to predict the future. We haven't any control how a car is maintained after it is purchased, I can understand a person being upset if an engine blows a week after they purchase the vehicle (although it happens - that 's why we suggest a warranty). This person owned this car for one full year, when do they take ownership o f the vehicle ? We owe her nothing.

Thank You,

Review: I purchased a used vehicle on 9/13/2013, I'm well aware that with a used vehicle you are getting someone else's headache. However, I did not expect after paying $3990 that I would have to call to report an issue within 24 hours of purchasing it. Yes the purchase price was below fair market kbb value ($4353) but come on 24 hours! I was never offered any type of warranty at time of purchase, I would've taken it. Looking through the paperwork I found a "limited" warranty document. When I called regarding it I was told that it covered 50% parts/labor only if I took the car back to them. The issue with the vehicle was the serpentine belt needed replaced at a cost of $100 parts/labor. You would think the serpentine belt would be an item that would be checked prior to sale considering the huge role it plays!! Anyway, considering Vegas Auto is more than 20 miles from my house, drive time, the price of gas and the cost of taking time off work to take it back to them to save $50 would've actually cost me more in the end. I would've thought because it wasn't even a full 24 hours they would've worked with me a little, within 24 hours you would think they would cover the repairs. I'm disappointed in the service that I received.Desired Settlement: I feel the company out of good faith should've worked with me when I called them within 24 hours of purchasing the vehicle to report the issue. The $100 parts/labor should've been covered 100%.

Response:

Ms. [redacted] did call us to let us know she had a problem with a belt. We offered to fix the belt at a significant discount. We have no way of knowing when something is going to break or malfunction on a vehicle. Everyone is offered the opportunity to purchase a warranty but few do. It's the nature of the used car business. Thank you.
