Complaint: ***
I appreciate Mr***’s response, regrettably I must
reject the entire response as it’s so flawed with either shaded misinformation
or facts that are outright wrong. Mr***
carefully chose his words that there was no “written mutual
transaction”. I offered a deposit, it was refused because
it’s company policy not to ‘hold vehicles’, so I completed a credit application
over the phone with *** the finance manager, it was approved. The next morning I spoke to *** and he
offered to deliver the vehicle to me in hours. What is this called? Two parties entered into a transaction, one
offered to pay the asking price, the other took personal and private
information and acquired the services of a financial institution and then
offered to deliver the vehicle in hours.
How exactly is this not a transaction?
Please explain
I had not physically viewed this vehicle, this statement is
correct. However by the words of his own
staff most of their business is done online and it was a vehicle with five
thousand miles on it and being sold as “new”.
Does Mr*** cancel the transaction of every out of state buyer that
does not view his vehicles? Of course
not. Does he if a better deal comes
through the door?
I do have a Cadillac Escalade that we will be retiring,
this is true. But this was only
discovered after his staff asked me if I had a trade. I declined and explained that I don’t trade
vehicles because the numbers don’t work.
I was asked again so I relinquished and explained what we were currently
driving, I was given a bid of a shocking 35% under market value to which I
replied this is why I don’t trade vehicles and graciously declined the
offer. Mr*** how is this relevant
other than clouding bad business practices? Based on my interaction I’m reasonably certain
your staff is trained to ask about potential trades, now it’s being introduced
into the equation as it was an objection from me? I didn’t need to trade it on your vehicle and
I didn’t trade it on the GMC Yukon XL I ultimately purchased, it was never a
requirement and I made that clear from the start
I would only complete the transaction if the vehicle was
delivered miles away? Mr*** you
are sadly misinformed. I did not even know
that any dealer would deliver a vehicle this far, your finance manager *** offered
to deliver the truck. This was not a
requirement but an attempt at closing a transaction when I was the only
interested party. If *** has claimed
anything to the contrary you should be concerned Ironically we purchased our new truck from
Payton Chevrolet in Heber Springs, Arkansas which is twice the distance and we
drove to pick it up without hesitation.
Travel was never an objection
In closing I’m attaching a copy of the return shipping
charges for the wheels I purchased for this vehicle. Please ask yourself this Mr***, if I
was not going to follow through and purchase your vehicle, why did I spend $
on wheels and tires for it? Why did I
purchase another truck even further away for more money within hours of
having yours sold out from underneath me?
Does this not sound like the actions of a person that was intending to
do business with you?
Sincerely,
*** ***

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I never disputed the facts, nor the documentation., although when I brought my truck in the last time, Linda did write down my complaint wrong.  I also don't expect anybody to be responsible for upkeep of my vehicles, besides myself. What I am disputing is the horrible customer service, and the convenient fact of my truck breaking immediately after putting it into 4wd, when it was in your shop less than 30 days prior. I bring the truck in, the seal is replaced and then my transmission goes out. I bring the truck back in, the seal is replaced, then my transfer case goes out.  Every time I've brought my truck in, something unrelated breaks. I've had no problems bringing it back in, because the service managers have always been helpful in repairs.  This last time, I was treated horribly, talked down to, and belittled, by your newest service manager. When I call and leave a message with the general manager for [redacted] himself to contact me back regarding the issue, I am completely ignored. I have tried MANY forms of communication, and have only been shut down without response. I have, on voicemail, where the service manager ADMITS that my fluids may have been low, and rudely told me it wasn't their responsibility. I also have pictures of the leaking. How, when I brought my truck into this dealership for a LEAK, are you not responsible for topping off that leaked fluid? That's like asking for new tires, but not putting air in them. A transmission flush, but not putting fluid back in the transmission. It's a shame you choose to do business this way, considering I was a customer before you even owned this business. I guess good customer service is a thing of the past. Also, my father being the service manager is COMPLETELY irrelevant to the situation at hand, as he was no longer employed through you when the problem occurred this last time. Linda was your service manager.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
