Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/04/23) */ Hello, My name is [redacted] A [redacted] owner of Vela Construction CoI have read the customer's complaint and do not agree with what he has saidI started working on his Airstream mobile trailor that he lives in and was parked at the Elk lodge in Indio CaWe agreed on laying down laminate wood flooring, a panel to cover the cable chords by the TVand a panel to use as a caninet door in the bedroomI have invoices and dates as he kept trying to get free extra work out me and my employees as he was informed that each task that he inquires about is extra and is gonna be extra chargeAs my employee moved through the mobile trailor Mr [redacted] had nothing but good comments of our work and that he would give my company a good reference to the trailor park and thumbtack a webpage that list handyman and contractors which he hired me from and he didNow at the last day we were on the site I was installing a cover panel to hide the electrical chords and the ac thermostat that was mounted on wallAs I was mounting the panel he kept telling to move the panel closer to the thermostat so the gap in between wouldnt be so far, I did as he asked and the the lever that turns the thermostat on and off broke in front of the both of us, I was apologetic as he proceeded to tell me that it was ok and I asked him are you sure he said yes that he would take care of itReason was you could still turn on and off the switchhrs later me and my employee finished the extra work he wanted done even after the fact that the switch was broken, that was the bathroom laminate flooring in the mobile trailorHe was happy and told me what a great job we had done for him that this was his dream to get laminate flooring in the trailor well I was happy that I made another client happyThat was 4/3/on 4/21/I received a text message being threaten that I now have to pay for the broken thermostat lever that he had said he would repair, That is two weeks and days in between if I knew that I was responsible and said that to him like he verbally told me it was ok I would have called him and asked him about the trailor manufacturer informationHe just texted me all that information on 4/21/saying that if I dont pay he would complain to the Revdex.com, thumbtack, contractors board, linked any site that customer reviews reviews with my name so that it would create a problem for me over $that the lever costHe then proceeded to tell me that the work was mediocre after we gave him a deal on customizing his mobile trailorThe one thing is that in between 4/3/and 4/21/i had no phone call or text messages from ***, the last day I saw him on 4/3/he had a big smile telling me thank you and that he put a review on thumbtack for me and I looked on the internet and said "very satisfied"!!!! I am an honest and small company with one employee and we do our work as the customer wants penny for penny nothing less and nothing more to make our clients the most important and have them satisfied that there investment was a great investment!! First of all I did not get any extra work. Just the opposite. He did not do all that I paid him for and kept adding on charges. I never asked him to bring the panel closer. That is a lie. He broke the thermostat all by himself. Since he was already paid in full, he told me to get an estimate and he would take care of it. At any rate, I started texting him about it. In the text he admits breaking it and told me it was my problem. When I told him I was going to complain to the Revdex.com he responded by saying if I do, he will call my boss and tell him I am a pedafile and I park my Airstream near schools.
