Review: I wanted to cancel my account with Velocity Local I've been calling them for 3 weeks now and continue to get the run around. When I called the first time they the lady said I had to cancel with another department and they would be in touch. No one ever called, so after a few days I called back another lady told me the same thing. I waited a a week and never heard anything from them. I called yesterday 7/23/13 and the lady told me I had to send a letter in writing I asked for the address she said she could find it so I asked for the fax number she gave me a number but it was a number to another department. The lady I spoke with gave me another number that she said was the fax number the only thing it did was ring. I called again today 7/24/13 told the lady I spoke with today she gave me the wrong fax number and she says "O you can email it"Desired Settlement: I want a refund they were prolonging this to get another payment

We spoke to [redacted] multiple times and apologized for his dissatisfaction. Our attempt to transfer the call was to continue servicing him or assist in his dissatisfaction. We have refunded the client accordingly and after speaking with him in August he will be continuing service at a discounted monthly rate due to his dissatisfaction. Client should have been provided appropriate contact information, if otherwise my info can be directly provided to finalize resolution.

Review: I signed a contract with Velocity Local on 4/9/2013 to pay a set up fee + monthly for mobile, website and social media services my credit card was charged that day for services. I already have a website that I am happy with that only needed minor changes. When I met with the team on 4/9 they assured me it would be easy since most of the work was already done. They told me it would take about 2 weeks to receive the updates to my website. After approx 2 weeks on 4/21 I sent an email following up on the rest of the services because I had not had any contact with the anyone at the company and not received any of the services outlined in the contract. Per the agreement I was expecting more than a website I received an email response 2 business days later saying the NEW website was done and that they were waiting to start any of the other services until the website was complete. None of the changes we spoke about had been made and the new website had stock pictures from the internet (none of my own), the store didn't work, there were spelling errors and written content had been copied from my current site.I told them I could not use that website to represent my brand and since no other services had been received to date 5/3 (the next time we spoke) I wanted to cancel and expected a refund. I was told a manager would call me Monday. On 5/6 No manager called and I was told that since they had provided a website that they would not refund any money. I asked her if she had seen the website provided by Velocity Local and she said yes. I asked her if it seemed like I would be taking a step back to go with them and she said yes. I asked her why I should use their site vs mine and she told me that if I dont cancel my acct they would fix the website, which could take up to another month.I told her it was unacceptable and that I wanted to speak with a manager. She told me that she would try to have someone call me back. I asked if I could have their contact information and she said no.Desired Settlement: I do want a refund, but am working through Visa to get it. I want Revdex.com to be aware of this company. They are taking advantage of small business owners and I wish I had seen the signs before going into a contract with them but was recommended to them from someone I trusted. It is hard to find reviews on them, they don't respond and won't give out company information or names of managers who work at the company and they don't stand behind the work they provide.
