Horrible, absolutely horrible
I have been trying to add money into my Correct pay account to be able to send and receive messages to an inmate. I am not even sure if they are being sent or not. But given that my account has 0$ in it I’m assuming they can’t be sent. But when I try to put money in with my card the app will say “all fields required” even though they are. And trying to call is a joke. My location does not have the jail deposit available via phone call. I have tried multiple times calling to make sure. The lack of support and communication from this company is incredibly frustrating and down right cruel. If I had any other option to use to help me stay in contact with an inmate I would have taken it. Horrible customer care especially given that the situation we are in is already very frustrating and stressful.
And then when I tried to file a form about the issue via the website it stated that “the form was unable to submit, contact site administrator”. Absolutely ridiculous.

I have been trying to find a number for cyst service that produces a live person not a chat bot where is documentation. For the last gift package I got for my daughter in the barren co detention center?

I had a video visitation with my brother from 8:00 am est to 8:30 am est. I was told that I had to wait five minutes. The visit never happened.

The business has reached out to me as stated above. They were very professional and because of the situation I have been granted a free video visit. I'm happy that the business chose to reach out to me and that things were able to be situated without any further misunderstanding.

I paid for 2 video visitations and they didn't go through. I would like to get a refund for those 2 video visitations that I paid for.
I paid for 2 video visits one on 07/23/2020 of 6.00 and another one on 07/27/2020 of 6.00 and they did not go through. I would like to get a refund to my debit card. For the 07/23/2020 shows for 07/22/2020 on the receipt but I actually put it in for 07/23/2020

This the second time that I have been stuck in the waiting room the whole visit

Our company is not able to see directly into ***'s system to see if any of those funds have been used or to issue a refund; however, we have let the customer know that we will assist in any way that we can by reaching out to our contact with the phone company.

I am being overcharged.
I often purchase a gift basket for an inmate in the *** facility in Alabama. The price total is 19.99
When I get a receipt the total charge is $20.98. I have reached out by phone several times. I got a call back but the lady could not tell me why. She said someone would call me back with an explanation. I'm still waiting. I reached out through support (email ) I got a response that said if you feel that you are being overcharged to contact your bank. I should not have to contact my bank every week. You need to fix the issue. Having loved ones incarcerated is stressful and can be expensive. So every little bit helps. I'm not trying to make anyone look bad I just want the issue resolved.

I've made two visits with my friend on vend engine and couldn't connect with her through video all I got was a white screen

We are sorry to hear that this customer is dissatisfied with our customer service experience. There were multiple service tickets opened by the customer for the same issue regarding video visitation, and we have streamlined all of the communication into one service ticket to communicate with her more effectively. We have also called the customer and left her two voicemails on 3/27/2020. Furthermore, we have completed the customer's request to reschedule her video visit for tonight, 3/27/2020. Those details have been emailed to her email address on file, addressed in a voicemail, and sent to her via the customer service ticket she opened with us.

In regards to her complaint that we charged her over $200 in phone time, she must have Jail Funds confused with another vendor. Jail Funds does not take deposits for inmate phone time at *** Jail. We do provide an online messaging platform for inmates and their families, which uses phone time funds. We responded to her service ticket asking that she provide additional details on any issues she is having with the messaging platform so that we may better assist her.

VendEngine failed to send me an email with a link and code for a remote video visit that had been paid for up front
On 2/17, I scheduled a remote video visit with my son who is incarcerated in the*** County Jail in ***, ***. I scheduled the visit for 2/19 at 12:00 pm and gave my debit card information as payment. In order to connect to the video visit at the scheduled time, VendEngine has to send a confirmation email with a link and a code to access the visit. by 1:00 pm on 2/18 I had not yet received the confirmation email, so I began leaving voice messages and email messages in order to resolve the issue before the next day. As of now, 5:00 pm on 2/20, I have not had a return call or an email.

Desired Outcome

I desire VendEngine to reschedule my remote visit at no charge, and to correct whatever issue they have that is causing this problem.

After 45 un-return calls, 14 un-return emails, requesting infornation an refund of close to 450.00 as of 2-5-20 no refund or return contact
My roommate was in jail Dec 17th. 19 thru jan 1st, 20 from his arrest date until day before dec 31st close to 450.00 was put on a phone account that vendengin / JailFunds.com had set up for him well vendengine did not provide phone service to the facility (*** County Justice center - ***, TN) so when I requested the money be return I was told the jail has it.. The jail says vendengine has it.. Now vendengin will not refund or return calla

We have reached out to the customer to gather more information on the said incident of phone time. We have partnered with*** in the past in *** County's facility, and as the software, we are able to see transactions that have posted. Because we are not the actual phone company, however, we cannot see the balance of the phone deposits or if any has been used. Our transactions simply show a deposit for*** and then that deposit being pushed as a*** PIN purchase. The customer was very understanding once learning that this is all of the information that we have regarding our partnership with the phone company. Our records show a total of four phone deposits coming through the VendEngine system.*** also had a deposit solution for their phone *** during that time, and VendEngine is unable to see any transactions that have passed *** kiosks or online solution. In addition to providing any information that we have to the customer, we have also provided the customer with a contact to reach out to*** to get any information that the customer is in need of concerning the phone account.*** has all of the information that the customer is needing due to the fact that they are the phone company. We have attached a copy of all of the transactions that VendEngine has for the inmate and customer.

When I first orginally spoke to VendEngine I was told once more information came available then I would receive another call or email. I have yet to receive either. From the screenshot posted by VE that only shows $50.00 of the $180.00 myself added to the account. So that means $130.00 is still unaccounted for plus the funds my friends mom claims she made. However, CTC has not been very forthcoming with any info. In fact they refunded only $21.77 of $30.00 claimimg I am not entitled to the fee's and/or the sale tax back. From what I can tell only 20.00 on the 28th is showing when on the 23rd of Dec $180.00 was made to the Kiosk but just as the 28th of Dec no receipt was printed. Not counting I have not received any refund from VendEngine in regaurds to the $50.00 that I had to pay my sister and brother-in-law to make in the beginning to put it on the account.

Also everytime he called me it always said "there was no money available for this call" to deposit funds in order to accept the calls. I am going to attach a screenshot of 2 more deposits made as well as the call log and there is a major discrepancy in amount funded and actual cost of calls I received. I have requested CTC TO email me a copy of all calls and was told what shows in my account is all that was made. The cost and the used do not add up by no means.. These attachments are what I can access via my account on CTC. VE shows a screenshot with 3x$10.00 and 1x$20.00 total of $50.00. But a grand total made to VE by both Jail Kiosk and Via JailFunds.com should have been a total of $30.00 via JailFunds & $200.00 via Jail Kiosk for grand total I myself only made $230.00 however the call log only shows a grand total of $24.85 that means their is an amount of $205.15 missing, in-accounted for and not linked to my account as it should have been from the start since it was only I who paid the $230 amount now I can not speak for his mom or her total paid but because this is now going on 3 months of not being returned. I am now getting very behind on my bills. I have had to cut my phone off and this coming Friday my power gets cut off.. The jail claims they don't have it. CTC says they don't so someone somewhere does and this matter needs the highest priority and addressed today. CTC is already in violation of Federal Laws by not paying my tax amount back with their made up admin fee..

We have researched those transactions from the attachments that the customer has provided, and the name of the depositor is the name that the customer gave as the brother-in-law on a call that we had with the client. The only transaction that VendEngine has for this client is the $20 on the 28th of December. In addition, we have also provided the customer with screenshots of the transaction that went through the system that was placed by him, and the purchases of the phone PINs. Because VendEngine is the software and not the phone company, we cannot see or have access to the phone company's software (CTC). Those "CTC PIN Purchases" are showing us where those funds are going in an instant transaction. When we did allow for phone time deposits in that facility, it was always an instant transaction of hitting the inmate's account and then the purchase of a phone PIN.
Any of the deposits placed through CTC's deposit/phone time platform has never relayed to the VendEngine system, and thus we have no information regarding those other funds. To explain further, the few deposits that did go through the VendEngine platform were a one-way push to CTC's system. VendEngine has no access to the funds for the inmate's phone account, and CTC is responsible for providing any information that this customer is needing.
We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this has caused; however, we have relayed all of the information that we have for this particular client.
