This is the written response for the applicant ID *** To Whom It May Concern: Venetian Villas policies regarding late rent is that rent is due on the 1st of the month and
is considered late on the 4th of the month regardless of holidays and weekends There is also the option for residents to pay online via their resident account In this situation the residents father set up a bill pay with their bank where the bank will cut a check and send it to the property on an estimated delivery date Venetian Villas did not receive this check till the 4th of the month in the mail When checks arrive in the mail they are opened, signed, dated and also written on the front of the check that it was mailed to Venetian Villas This is why the resident was charged a $late fee which was agreed upon by the resident when she signed her lease This situation also happen back in the fall where the check did not get here on time through the postal service In this situation Venetian Villas did waive the late fee as a onetime customer service gesture Even though we did receive the rent payment late again due to the postal service we waived the late fee as a customer service gesture for the resident in this matter.
