Review: My agent at Ventura Insurance Brokers misread a clear email question about my insurance policy on my private art collection. As a result of her misreading, this person gave me incorrect advice, which resulted in my having immediately to buy insurance elsewhere for $1350. When I pointed out her error and demanded her firm reimburse me for the costs directly resulting from her incorrect advice, she willfully and erroneously misrepresented the nature of my private collection to my insurance carrier. The CEO of the firm was copied on several of the email correspondences, so she was aware of the issue and did nothing to stop her employee's unprofessional behavior.Desired Settlement: Ventura Insurance should apologize and reimburse me for the $1350 I would not have had to pay if I had received accurate advice. As well they must contact my insurance company and correctly characterize the true nature of my private collection.
