Venuing, Inc. Reviews (1)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[To Whom It May Concern,Thank you for giving us the opportunity to explain our dilemma with Venuing, Inc. The following is a true and accurate account of our experience.  On Wednesday May 20, 2015 Team Anthony Vincent had a meeting with Daniel and Candace of Venuing, Inc. We were excited listening to the fresh and trendy ideas that they would implement to help boost our Social Media presence. We were told the set up fee was $1,500 including a monthly contract which they would forward for our approval. Anthony Vincent wrote a check to Venuing, Inc. and we waited to receive the contract. After reviewing the contract we realized they wanted $1,500 per month - that was not discussed at anytime during our meeting. We could not comfortably proceed as that much money was not in our budget. Within 24 hours we asked for our deposit to be returned. Before we signed a contract, before the check was cashed, before any employees were paid, before we began. We were turned down.Daniel, the manager/sales person we had our meeting with asked Ira, owner of Venuing, Inc. to give us a call. This was the only time we spoke with Ira. Ira said he wants us to be happy so that we will refer him to other businesses. From one small business to another, that's the most important thing. Ira then said that he does not do contracts like ours for less money but he will make an exception and work within our budget for a short period of time. He explained because of the lower dollar amount he could not let us work directly with Candace, but she would supervise our account and Ira assured us that we would enjoy working with a member from their Social Media team.Bryce, an intern, was assigned to our account. She was very sweet but lacked experience...however, because of Ira's positive words we felt at ease and ready to proceed. Ira also let us know that Daniel was only a phone call away and Daniel himself made it clear that he was always willing to help.During the first month Venuing is saying we were directing comments to Venuing's Social Media associate, rather than the associated project manager. To simplify things, no one was introduced to us using any titles. The first month and every month we only spoke with Bryce, the intern placed on our account and Daniel, who we originally met with, on a regular basis. We finally went live after quite sometime and were waiting patiently because we were so excited to see what they've come up with. The posts that Bryce was putting on our [redacted] page were old ideas from our website. The reason for signing on with Venuing was to enhance our business with fresh, trendy ideas...originally discussed with Daniel and Candace. We were fully aware that we'd be working with an associate that had less experience than Candace but also that our account would be supervised by Candace. We did ask Bryce to remove a post and to not post it again as that post no longer pertained to our businessThat was on August *. She took it down but never removed it from the posting sequence. When it re posted again on August ** we kindly asked her to remove it for the second time and she let us know that it was her last day...On August ** and August ** we asked Daniel to speak to us. On August ** the identical outdated posts were up again and for the third time we asked to have them removed, as they did not pertain to our business. Also on August ** Daniel said, "Candace is going through everything now and getting her ideas together for moving forward." On September *, the outdated posts that did not pertain to our business were posted yet again and for the fourth time, we kindly asked for it to be removed. On September ** Daniel texted to ask for the best email to reach us. An email was sent to a personal email of ours that Venuing is going through an internal transition period and Candace is no longer working with the company. As a result no further posts were made. Apologies were given and we were told Venuings account director would be in touch with us. We never heard from her.On October [redacted], Venuing hired Caryn and we were told she would be handling our account. We had a phone consultation with Caryn and Daniel. She was lovely and seemed to understand our needs, but Anthony lost confidence as no progress has been made. At this point we believe we paid for services we didn't receive and were not completed. We met with Venuing in May, now it was October and little has been done. The very next day, October *, Daniel said, "Ira had to run due to family obligations". On Thursday October ** Daniel texted that he's sorry, "It's been difficult to wrangle down Ira". On Thursday October **, another week has passed and we asked Daniel to return our deposit. We write for several magazines and do our best writing in the wee hours of the night. It is not uncommon for us to send correspondence at these hours. Having just finished chemotherapy, the stress of this situation was making it difficult to meet our deadlines. On Thursday October ** in response to asking for a refund, Daniel wrote, at 9:37 am, "at this point I believe that's what will happen, but (and again I'm very sorry about this) Ira is still out of state, and only he has the ability to move company funds. I'm guessing he will be back by next week but I have not spoken to him yet today, so I will ask and try to get confirmation for you as soon as I hear from him". On Wednesday October ** we texted Daniel that we still have not heard from him or Ira. Daniel responded that he passed our contact information and that Ira would reach out.On Friday November * we reached out to Daniel...still haven't heard from Ira. On Monday November * Daniel told us that Ira would call us this week. On Friday November ** we still had not heard from Ira. We told Daniel that we would now take this to the Revdex.com.On Friday November ** Daniel's response. "[redacted] I completely understand your frustration and it's silly that you have not heard from him at this point. I am trying to get in touch with Ira. Would you/[redacted] accept $750 considering the 2 months of work and approved social calendar were put through or are you/[redacted] looking for a full $1,500? So I know exactly what to say if I can get a hold of Ira". Our reply was, "Daniel...do you honestly think I should consider 2 months of work? I think you should consider 6 months of me having to deal with so much stress from such an unprofessional company while I was undergoing [redacted]. My [redacted] is disgusted...I think you know exactly what to say when you get a hold of Ira! Absolutely shameful!"  Being so frustrated we do regret this last statement as Daniel has been extremely helpful and a gentlemen throughout the entire ordeal. In closing, we have been in business for 40 plus years. We run our business with integrity and professionalism and have experience dealing with people. We think the request for our full deposit to be returned is not unreasonable considering we followed their guidelines and requested a refund within 24 hours as per Venuings protocol.Thank you for your time and patience. We know you will help us come to an amicable solution. -Team [redacted]]
