This letter is in response to the complaint filed against Veramarke Construction Services
Project was not completed on time as there were changes that were made throughout the process which resulted in extra time being
needed
Original contract never had a specific end dateThis was something the homeowner came up with after making numerous changes
There was never a specific start time that was mentioned in the contract so being late is unjustifiedShowing up on a Sunday was needed to try to complete the job in a timely manner
Homeowner changed the scope of the project as she decided that she wanted unfinished tile installed after the original agreed upon contractVeramarke had to come back after and put the metal finish piece in
The materials were supposed to be purchased by the homeowner which was not done or the incorrect materials were purchased by the homeowner
When the new toilet was installed it was not originally leakingAs soon as the homeowner notified installer he came to the house after hours to fix the leak
The original contract called for a vinyl floor and the homeowner changed it to tile after the project was started
The faucet was purchased by the homeowner and it was missing parts
The installer was never notified that the valve on the shower was missing pieces which resulted in a loss of hot waterWhen installer purchases materials he ensures that no parts are missing so that the job can be completed
Any tools that were inadvertently taken were immediately returned upon notification
The dog was on site but did not relieve herself in the yard
To date the amount still owed to Veramarke by homeowner is broken down as follows:
yard dumpster that was rented for disposal - $
Tile flooring and tile baseboard - $
Installing the metal back in (not in the original bid) - $
Balance remaining on the original bid - $2,
Expenses for materials - $
An invoice in the amount of $3,has been sent via registered mail to the homeowners address listed in the complaint file
