I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Dear Revdex.com,
In an effort to not repeat and save the reader valuable time, please see our initial Revdex.com complaint notice of 2/*/and follow up reply of 2/**/regarding our horrible experience with Verecom Technologies, IncContinued summary here 3/*/
To summarize, several ongoing attempts were made to communicate (verbally and in writing at contract signing and thereafter via e-mail and phone) with respect to our e-commerce project and it's priority deadlineHowever, once our $2,deposit was made and project details forwarded, we soon discovered the priority timeline was insignificant to Verecom
Much time passed as Verecom ignored our requests, continuing to prolong the project, ignoring deadline and accomplishing very little work on a single sample home page template Consequently, our company missed out on peak holiday sales revenue from the number one biggest retail holiday shopping season of the year, ChristmasEven the extended deadline proved to be unsuccessful as we patiently waited on more empty promises ultimately suffering further losses from Valentine's Day sales.
Deadlines are life and death in most professionsOur contractual deadline was a major factor in our decision to sign on with Verecom for this e-commerce project on Novemeber *, for a deadline completion date of December *,

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Verecom Technologies Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Still waiting to hear back for a total amount of credit or refund for the SEO work that was claimed to be completed but not actually completed (at least they have no proof of any work on the site that is still live). All articles they have written have been removed and taken down at this point).

#1: As mentioned in the first reply, the reason why the site got delayed, it’s not fully from Verecom Side. The client needs to co-work with us for the product data feed. Without the data feed, the site cannot go live and this has been addressed to the client through different emails.
#2: We do know the site has not been launched on time. So we want to take part of that responsibility. Therefore On Verecom side, $1000 is agreed to refund. And the reason why another $1000 is not able to be refunded, it’s because there is the work we did on our end for the project and it was agreed and approved by the client. And another reason is that the site cannot be launched on time is not fully Verecom’s fault. So the rest $1000 will be kept on Verecom side.
#3: As showing in the contract, highlighted in red color, actually the down payment which is $2000, is not refunded after three days when the project starts. But right now considering the project is not fully completed, Verecom side can consider the $1000 refund. And actually for the whole work that has been done, the 2nd payment which is $1200 listed in the contract is due as well according to the contract. But Verecom will not proceed to ask for that. This will be another step we want to make to try to solve this. And we can treat this $1200 as another refund for the project.

So pls. think about the $1000 refund so that both of us can solve the case well. Thank you [redacted] for the communication to try to solve this.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
In a effort to help understand more clearly our horrible unsatisfactory experience with Verecom Technologies, Inc., we've outlined the sequence of events below:
We had signed a Web Service Agreement in person on November *, 2013 with Verecom Technologies, Inc. and gave the required $2,000 deposit to the [redacted]. Due to the urgent deadline of this e-commerce web project, we purchased (for an additional $200.) and forwarded an e-commerce website template. This was a pre-formatted layout and style already set up for use; a much easier layout to follow compared to creating an all new custom e-commerce web design.
As requested, we e-mailed the template and all of the home page content such as menu department headings with its sub-departments and categories, footers, sample images, social, paypal, etc. information to Verecom on November [redacted] 2013 for the immediate start of phase one of this project.  The individual detailed mdse product content for shopping cart information for phase two of this project was to follow once phase one was complete.
At our meeting on November *, 2013, we were told by the [redacted] that a web developer would be assigned to this web project right away.  We waited patiently expecting to see an e-mail link of our start up home page template for us to review and approve that week, especially since our deadline for completion was December *, 2013.
As time passed we waited and wondered what was happening here? When asked, we were repeatedly told the project was in the process and being worked on.  Yet, after several weeks near deadline, we received (via e-mail) an unattractive, unprofessional, amateur work up of some of the menu headings and other text displayed incorrectly on this sample home page.  We were shocked! The work appeared to be that of someone in training and not someone who was educated or skilled in web development w-h-a-t-s-o-e-v-e-r!  We expressed our extreme dissatisfaction with what was sent and tried our best to communicate the urgency of this project.  The timeline seem to be of no importance to the [redacted].  Any necessary corrections were done in baby steps; returning the bare minimum of work and taking extra turn around time for minor updating.
The 12/*/13 contractual deadline came and went with much frustration on our part and very little work accomplished by Verecom.  Consequently, we missed out on holiday sales revenue from the number one biggest retail holiday shopping season of the year.  We, of course, requested our deposit back via e-mails followed up by a certified letter. Yet, the [redacted]'s e-mails and phone call to us (after receiving our certified letter) made light of the past due contract deadline and continued to send out more e-mails thereafter requesting product information for the second phase of this project.
The [redacted] was especially skilled at repeatedly apologizing, persuading and convincing us to reconsider. Reassuring us that a dedicated experienced developer would be assigned to this project right away and promising a one hundred (100%) complete satisfaction of this project in time for our next peak retail holiday fast approaching. We trusted. Yet, regrettably soon discovered we made again a huge mistake and ultimately missed out on another important peak retail shopping season, Valentine's Day. Requests were made (however ignored) for the immediate return of our deposit.
After the busy 2013 Christmas holiday season was over, what followed next was my in person meeting with the [redacted] and web developer on January **, 2014 in their New York office.  I expressed my frustration over the lost time and serious neglect of this web project. The web developer seemingly appeared unaware of the previous ongoing endless delays and missed deadline our company had experienced.  More convincing and promising came from Verecom. After detailed discussions and working side by side together with the developer that day, it appeared we were about to get this stalled home page finally going with perhaps the possibility of success. Before leaving their office I was told by the [redacted], we would receive an update of the home page (work we discussed to be completed) within a day or two.
Patiently waiting and almost a week later, we received a link to review. Portions of the page were correct from our last in person meeting, while other parts had been uncorrected and missing sub categories (we previously provided) plus other important links were needing alignment and functionality here to complete just the single home page. When we inquired about the limited work done, the [redacted] proceeded to tell us in her e-mail that this was "easy work" and that we could save this for "later" and do it our selves. How unbelievable!!!
Verecom continued to ignore our requests for completion of phase one pushing for us to send mdse product information for the second phase of this project while skipping out on fully correcting, updating and completing phase one.
Suddenly, we received an invoice asking for an additional second payment of $1,200. which was not yet due until phase two was functioning. We were in disbelief wanting to know how Verecom could request and justify any additional payments without finishing phase one. No response. The [redacted] continued to ask for additional payments in her e-mails. Then suddenly agreed no additional payment was due. It appears now that Verecom's push for us to provide mdse product content for phase two was a creative attempt to collect additional monies prior to the next missed deadline fast approaching.
According to the National Retail Federation, "For some retailers the winter holiday season can represent as much as 20-40% of annual sales."  NRF states that sales growth for 2013 rose 3.9%.  The NRF holiday forecast is based on reports from the US Department of Commerce and other qualifying partners who survey and identify year to year retail sales trends.
Although Verecom outlines their work done in a reply back to our complaint, it's important to note, their listing of work done is surely an exaggeration of uncorrected, incomplete, unapproved, non functional, sample work displayed on this template. No design elements on their part were created for banners as this is a simple Magenta template with duty free [redacted] sample photos used as temporary placements.  Our company spent many long hours preparing the files for submission, providing the menu information for all department headings, sub-department categories, footer, social, logo, wallpaper backdrop, etc. Nothing on this single start up home page was ever functional, including phase two links for wish list, compare list, shopping cart, etc.
In conclusion, Verecom knowingly failed to meet two peak holiday season contract deadlines prolonging this e-commerce web project with endless delays having very little functional work completed on a single page for the entire time.  The loss of revenue from two peak holiday seasons' missed opportunities is enormous.
Verecom has offered a $1,000. refund which is only half of our deposit back. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE!
At this time, we have not asked for other damages from loss of sales revenue (as most unsatisfied corporations would jump at) but rather our full refund of $2,000 without delay.

Hello, I have received partial payment...

so far for the services that were not rendered. However, I have asked the company to provide details about the work that they have done and it has been weeks and they are not able to provide any proof that work has been completed. I have made 4 payments to the company in the amount of $4,500.00. On the last payment they have refunded about half of it and are holding the rest of it as "credit" for future services which are pending. I would like to get the first three payments back as well as the company was hired to do SEO for my website and cannot prove or provide any documentation or back up that any work has been completed. From what I can tell they did a small amount of work the week they were hired and that is about it. The fact that they cannot show me the items completed that were on the contract is proof that they have not completed the work. At this time, I have been contacted directly by Verecom Technologies Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Hello, [redacted].

Hope you are well and this is [redacted] with...

Verecom. Thank you for the phone call on Friday regarding to this case and thanks for the help to try to make this resolved.

Here below is what we understand and what we think about the case. Pls. let me know if any question. But before everything, we want to say, on Verecom side, we definitely want to get this resolved and we also hope you can help us to find a way to make the client happy at this point. We will actively co-work with you for getting to the final point to resolve this case.

This project is based on a template that the client purchases. Here below you can find the original link:
[redacted]

And based on the industry procedures, the Website project is not just a job the designers and the developers make, but also it requires the client's feedback, confirmation and content supply. Then it will be possible to complete the website completely and on time.

Below is the feedback after January [redacted], 2014 meeting with one of our [redacted] called [redacted], with client's input, we can confirm the homepage.
[redacted]

For this project, Based on the information Client provided, what Verecom has completed are:
·         Setting up the template
·         Change the logo and content at the top
·          Change the menu/category, ability to add more categories and drop down sub categories.
·          Design 2 main banners and 3 small banners
·         Add to wishlist / compare list/shopping cart.
·          Ability to update the content and information.
The only fact remains is that the deadline is not met the same as it is on the contract.

The reasons of delaying this project, we think:
1. The contents of the site are still missing. And the Client needs to provide that part as agreed. Like, the pages contents,  products information, Pay Pal account, authorize.net, shipping method, etc.  Verecom actually took a lot of time to following up the content information.
The stuffs that client provided was already updated, such as: the menu categories, footer content, social media link, banner image source.
Based on the information client provided, Verecom has complete the list above.
The samples on the current website were also searched and uploaded by Verecom, but more products info is needed if the site needs to be launched.
2. The procedures of working on the website project.
For a website project, basically it needs to cooperation between the Design company and the client. Since Verecom has professional experience on making the site, we also suggested in order to make sure the whole work is not falling behind, we can leave some minor work later and put other things first.

But in this case, the client focus too much on the homepage, but all the things will be updated if products information are provided, such as subcategories. Verecom has asked the client for the information, but so far these things are not supplied yet. But these info are very important for the website to be fully up online.

And also, if the products information and the real content can be provided,  the website will be much nicer since now many things are just samples.

Verecom communicated very often and very responsively for this project, and explained a lot through email and phone call, attached are some of the email communications.  So you can pls. also dive into those attachments to see.
The fact remains is that Verecom did not follow the timeline, we know that part. So because of that I think on our end, what we can refund is $1000 from the deposit which is $2000 the client paid at the beginning of the contract.
Sorry [redacted] for the long email but try to make things clear. Again, we are very willing to solve this out but just hope to get the correct point. Let me know what else we can do for this case. Thank you again! Pls. let me know if you get this email.

Review: To Whom It May Concern,

Several on-going attempts were made prior and up to Nov.*, 2013, to communicate our needs with respect to an e-commerce website project for our company, including the vitally important priority completion deadline of Dec. *, 2013. Verecom Technologies, failed to meet our web services agreement prolonging the project and accomplishing very little. The many requests for completion of our single web home page with template continued to be ignored with unnecessary endless delays. Even our trusted (second) extended deadline proved unsuccessful. As a result, the potential loss of business revenue from the two peak holiday seasons' (Christmas & Valentine's Day) missed opportunities is enormous.

Requests through e-mail and certified mail to the [redacted] for full refund of our down payment (deposit of $2,000) has been unsuccessful. Recently, Verecom Technologies offered back only half a deposit of $1,000. We are requesting a full refund based on the information provided above. The very little work done by Verecom is incomplete and totally useless with two failed priority past due deadlines gone.Desired Settlement: The unsuccessful time consuming respectful attempts to resolve this matter (requesting,... simply a full refund of $2,000) with Verecom has caused us to regrettable file a compliant with the Revdex.com.

Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,

Business
