I am rejecting this response because: Such hostility within this email for a business that is supposedly completely innocent; calling this claim ridiculous--what great customer service Verger's hasI wonder how many other claims against your business were submitted to Revdex.com over the years.

We did not do anything to the customer's vehicle aside from complete a factory recall, in our parking lot, where the vehicle was towed in and leftWe did not tamper or alter anything on her vehicle periodThis accusation is ridiculous, unfounded, and completely untrueThe technician involved did not "slam" anything, and when mentioned to him, was surprised and bewildered, also stating he did no such thingWe are not responsible for the damage to the customer's JeepWe did not do anything aside from the recall repair, and attempting to manually rotate the engineWe did not tamper with anything, nor modify in any way, her vehicleWe will not replace, nor cover any cost of engine repair or replacement of the customer's vehicleWe have already shown, in the prior communication, their negligence which resulted in the engine seizure

I am rejecting this response because: The angry mechanic I witnessed that morning, I have since found out that his name is *** ***; why was he angry and slammed the door if it had been a routine recall? The 135,miles for a Jeep Liberty is not many miles for a Jeep that oldI have researched other Liberty's and my Jeep is a good 30,miles less than anything I have foundMy car (was) my daily driver, I hadn't put extra stress on it like most wheel drive vehicles--in the mountains or on the dunes--an occasionally out of town road tripI have used Verger's for recalls, and not regular maintenance on the upkeep of the vehicleHowever, they were the last garage to look at it before the problem occurred which makes me believe that they had something to do with the lack of fluids in my car, and again the dashboard lights did not come on to warn us that the car was low on fluids like it has done since I bought the car back in May 2012; which makes me think they had knocked out the sensors. MR*** COULD HAVE CHOSEN TO REMOVE THIS VEHICLE WHEN HE WAS TOLD IT WOULD TAKE WEEKS HE DID NOT CHOOSE THIS
CUSTOMER INDICATED HE DIDN’T HAVE A CHOICE HE REQUESTED WE SET UP RO (EXHIBIT A)
WHEN OUR MECHANIC WAS ABLE TO DIAGNOSE HIS VEHICLE, WE RECOMMENDED CERTAIN MECHANICAL WORK BASED ON THIS EVALUATION WHEN IT WAS DIAGNOSED THE TECHNICIAN FOUND THAT THE INTERCOOLER HAD COOLANT IN IT, THIS CAN BE BAD FOR A DIESEL TRUCK, AND ESPECIALLY SINCE HE IS PULLING A 5TH WHEEL TRAILER THAT IS WHY IT WAS RECOMMENDED FOR MORE THAN JUST THE HEAD GASKET (EXHIBIT B)
THE CUSTOMER ALWAYS HAS A CHOICE AS TO WHAT WORK HE IS WILLING TO DO THERE IS ALWAYS A BREAKDOWN OF EACH ITEM AND THE COST WHEN GIVING ESTIMATES FOR WORK
THE CUSTOMER REQUESTED WE ORDER THE NON REFUNDABLE, SPECIAL ORDER PART HEADGASKET FOR HIS VEHICLE THIS WAS ORDERED FOR HIM WE WERE WILLING TO TAKE THIS POSSIBLY UNUSEABLE, NONREFUNDABLE PART BACK FOR A 10% FEE THIS PART MAY NEVER BE SOLD AND WE ARE OUT THE FUNDS

HE COULD HAVE FOUND SOMEONE IN TOWN, OR A CLOSER LOCATION TO DO THE WORK AND NOT HAD THE LARGE TOWING BILL BY TAKING HIS VEHICLE BACK TO IDAHO THERE IS ANOTHER DEALERSHIP HOURS AWAY IN EUGENE, IF HE WANTED TO GO TO A BIGGER CITY AREA
CUSTOMER COULD HAVE MOVED VEHICLE FROM HERE AT ANY TIME
APPARENTLY MR *** HAD THE HEADGASKET WORK DONE IN IDAHO, AND IF HE TOLD THAT DEALERSHIP WHAT HE INDICATED HERE, THEY WOULD WANT TO MAKE SURE THEY DID THE LEAST POSSIBLE WORK THEY COULD DO IT DOES NOT MEAN MR*** WON’T HAVE TO HAVE ADDITIONAL WORK DONE AT A LATER DATE, AS IT IS A DIESEL TRUCK WITH OVER A 134,MILES OF WHICH UNKNOWN MILES WERE PULLING A TRAILER

WE ALSO HAVE REGULAR CUSTOMERS FROM CALIFORNIA AND NEVADA THAT PURPOSELY BRING US THE WORK ON THEIR VEHICLES DUE TO OUR INTEGRITY AND CHARACTER WE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS THIS LONG IF THIS WEREN’T A FACT.IN CONCLUSION WE DO NOT BELIEVE WE OWE THIS CUSTOMER ANYTHING AS WE DID NOT CAUSE HIS VEHICLE TO BREAKDOWN HE CHOSE TO TAKE VEHICLE ELSEWHERE, AND HE CHOSE WHEN HE DID THIS, BY HIS OWN CHOICE, AND WE ARE OUT A NON REFUNDABLE AND NONRETURNABLE HEAD GASKET THAT WE MAY NEVER BE ABLE TO SELL

On February 15, 2017 Mrs. [redacted] 2002 Jeep Liberty, with 135,261 miles on it was driven into our shop with an Air BagLight going on and off. We found a code in the system for "No PCI Bus" stored in the Occupant Restraint Control Module.Their Vehicle has an open recall to replace this particular...

component. We ordered the module and advised them wewould call them and schedule an appointment when the part arrived. They were given the key and drove away. Duringthe time we were waiting on the recall part to show up, the customer was "driving" the vehicle in question. By their ownstatement, a "gradual knocking began to develop" and by March gth, "It was very loud" and "Thursday March 9th the Jeepcutoff in the turning lane of the Newmark Plaza, we got it started, and we made it to Lombard and Broadway where itmade a grinding noise and then shut off leaving us in the turning lane during lunch hour." Now being in the automotiveindustry, we can tell you that an engine will not go 1 week without oil and coolant, let alone 3 weeks. As their conversationshows, they drove the vehicle, and kept going even though there was a knocking noise, turning into a grinding noise, .andthen they drove MORE, to the point where the engine was being shut down.Customer negligence is the reason why the engine went out. We did not drain their fluids while the Jeep was waiting forthe recall to be completed, they acknowledged that they were driving the vehicle when the engine started making noise,and progressed to seizure. Had they not kept driving when the noise started, and towed the Jeep in at that point, thenwe may have been able to repair the engine, rather than give them an estimate to replace with a Long block.1. MECHANIC WAS ABLE TO DO THE RECALL ON CUSTOMER RESTRAINT MODULE WITHOUT MOVING VEHICLE.2. WE HAVE NO RECORDS ON OR WHERE THIS CUSTOMER DID ANY OF THEIR MECHANICAL WORK.3. CUSTOMER TALKED ABOUT GETIING A "GO AHEAD" FOR A JANUARY TRIP. WHAT MECHANIC SHOP SAID THIS, ASTHIS VEHICLE WAS NOT, AND HAD NOT BEEN IN HERE SINCE ALMOST 2 YEARS PREVIOUSLY.4. THIS CUSTOMER SHOULD BE LOOKING TO WHOMEVER DID THEIR PREVIOUS MECHANICAL WORK. WHOMEVERHAS BEEN HANDLING THEIR OIL CHANGES, COOLANT AND FLUIDS SHOULD BE ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE.5. WE HAVE NOT DONE WORK ON THIS VEHICLE TO DO WITH ANY FLUIDS. (SEE EXHIBIT A-VEHICLE HISTORYRECORD)6. ENGINE HAD SEIZED. THAT IS WHY IT WAS TOWED IN. IT DID NOT HAVE COOLANT. OUR SHOP HAS NOT BEENINVOLVED IN THE MAINTENANCE OF THIS VEHICLE. WHO WAS HANDLING MAINTENANCE ISSUES ON THISVEHICLE?7. THE MECHANIC DID THE RECALL OUT ON THE LOT EXACTLY WHEREVEHICLE WAS LEFT BY TOW TRUCK WHEN CUSTOMER BROUGHT IT IN. THE CUSTOMER CAME AND HAD VEHICLETOWED AWAY FROM HERE, FROM THE EXACT SPOTTHEY HAD INITIALLY HAD IT TOWED IN AT.IN CONCLUSION WE DO NOT BELIEVE WE OWE THIS CUSTOMER ANYTHING AS WE DID NOT CAUSE HIS JEEP LIBERTY'SENGINE TO FAIL THAT THEY HAD TOWED IN WITH 135,261 MILES, AS WE HAVE NOT BEEN SERVICING THIS VEHICLE.WE DID NOT DO ANYTHING TO THE VEHICLE TO CAUSE THIS TO HAPPEN. THE CUSTOMER CONTINED FOR THREEWEEKS TO DRIVE A VEHICLE WITH A BAD NOISE AFTER THEY Plc;KED UP THEIR VEHICLE FOR A RECALL. THIS CUSTOMERSHOULD BE LOOKING TO WHOMEVER HAS BEEN DOING THEIR REGULAR MECANICAL WORK FOR THE PAST FEWYEARS.
