When Mr. [redacted] ordered his materials, we offered him two options for delivery: ground delivery for $49 and [redacted] crane delivery...

for $145. He informed us that the building was located on a hill. We told him that the crane must be on level ground in order to operate but he insisted that the truck could park on a parking lot which he claimed was level.
Upon arriving at the jobsite, even the parking lots were pitched and there was no level area like he had claimed. In fact, the pitch was so severe that the building materials on the truck started shifting and tipping over as soon as the straps were removed from the load. We informed him that we could not safely set up the crane and that the materials would have to be delivered on the ground but he continued to argue with me, telling us do it anyways. I told him that we cannot risk the lives or our employees and he finally agreed to placing the materials on the ground and told us where to place them.
We charged him for a ground delivery instead of a [redacted] and his credit card was refunded the difference ($96; $145 - $49).

When I ordered the materials the two options were not offered at that time. I requested the [redacted] and the sales person [redacted] asked me to hold the line while he checked availability. He returned and said it was available. It was at this time I warned him about the hill. He ask I wait while he checked the computer. Than started talking as if he was looking at a picture. This is when he said [redacted] Street wouldn't be good because we couldn't block a busy street. I suggested the service drive in the rear. He mentioned the surrounding view as if he was sill looking at the computer. I told him of the hill in the rear and he stated from looking at it, he thought it was possible. It was at this time I agreed to the fee for the [redacted]. Upon arriving at the jogsite, two young men were in the truck. The driver was not talking but the other young man that was doing all the talking was not sure about the hill. He said he worked in the purchasing department and was just working the field that day. I told him what Bill had told me after telling him more than once about the hill. I didn't want anyone to be unsafe nor did I put anyone in danger. I thought I was doing business with professionals that had the ability to tell me what they could do to assist me on my job. I have since relized that this wasn't the case. I will not do any future business with them. For the record $96.00 was refunded but only after making the public aware of their business practices
