Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: The other neighbor we spoke with also did not receive responses from the builder and has taken other options to make corrections. Our closest neighbor had an home inspections prior to his closing and that is why he has no need to have corrections made! We were unaware that the walk in closet door in the master bedroom was opening inward instead of outward. If we did we would have requested the change. I truly do not believe every thing is seen when doing an inspection by other than professional people. The drawings we received indicating the door indeed should open outward, were from his own representative and have no notation on them that they are not the final drawings. Everything else on this drawing is the same in our home as on the drawing EXCEPT the bedroom closet door. Makes you wonder. We have sent a certified/return receipt letter to this builder since we put this into the Revdex.com. The fact his daughter lives next door to us has nothing to do with our problems with her father (builder). We do not watch to see who visits her and who does not nor do we feel it is her problem as to what her fathers business does or does not due. We are sorry this has become such a problem in his life and as we have purchased three other homes and never experienced this treatment. Yes, you could fix the problem for a simple $but to us that is not the point. Your business ethics do not meet our standards and others should be aware of this. Also, the other neighbors who have the same "spec homes" as ours, have mater bedroom closet doors that open outward AND their homes were built that way. Why is our home different?????

was done along with other items at the time The builder was more than accommodatingThe master closet door was accepted by the *** and no request to switch it was made at this timeIn NC to my knowledge, New construction warranties are implied for one yearAppliances have warranty booklets providedWe have had NO calls from the other buyers to the right of the *** that she eludes toThe builder's daughter lives next door on the left to the *** so he has absolutely no reason to make himself scarce or to avoid communication with the ***. When the *** decided they wanted the master closet door switched, it was conveyed to them that there would be a cost of for labor and materialsMaking changes like this after closing (it is not a malfunction or structural issue addressed under the implied warranty) would normally have a cost attached for the time incurred by carpenters and trades people
