I lost my business and consequently went into foreclosure.I saw this ad on T.Vby newscaster MrSam MendelsonRecommending Veritas law group.At which time I made an appointment and met with them.They asked for money up front which totaled over $15,000.00.I was then contacted by Andrew W*** after several mos.of trying to connect with Veritas.He then told me that Veritas was no longer in business and he had managed to secure several hundred files,of which mine was one of them and that in order to salvage what was left of my proceedings that I needed to retain his services in order to save our case and our home.At which time I did,not know that Veritas and Andrew W*** were one of the same.That mistake cost me another $15,000.00.He has subsequently passed me off to an attorney by the name of Emmanuel F*,located in oxnard Calif.I was just recently informed of this change in hands of my file and not by Andrew W*** but by this new attorney that has informed of the change.MY understanding is that the attorney handling my case is to inform their clients within days of changes of this nature and he did not.This went down on thursday and now his phones are disconnted.I am trying to get my file from them and we will see how fruitful that will turn out to be.If MrSam Mendelson the T.Vpersonality had done his homework and investigated this man a little deeper I would not be in this predicament.It would be nice if Mr.Mendelson would reach out to me.Emmanuel F* has already informed me that he cannot help and that was it.I'm trying to get my file from him.I just hope that he and W*** are not in cahoots.Andrew W*** told me himself that Veritas was under investgation and that the Marshalls came and confiscated all their files and,like I said before, managed to take several hundred files.His office manager at that time was named carol and she confirmed everything he was saying
They charged me over $16,upfront as an attorney fee to do a Loan Modification for my house After several months of back and forth and no responds , they closed down their office in Downtown Los Angles , disconnected all their phone lines and got disappeared
The California Law prohibited any party to charge a fee upfront to do any loan modification or negotiation with lenders However , they told me that they are the law firm and they are going to deal with this at the capacity of the attorney and
Not only they misled me with information and they charged me a fee that I didn't even have to begin with , they also never performed and I am back to square one with my foreclosure and sale date
