Review: I want my information off this site.I sent information in 2005 requesting to take my info down because of privacy concerns due to a divorce AT THE TIME.I am checking my info online and its back up.I have a stalking case and I am very converned about my privacy and these types of websites selling my info for a price.I need my info removed totally from this websiteDesired Settlement: REMOVE MY INFORMATION totally .

Business

Response:

Please allow 2-5 business days for this record to be removed.

Review: I have repeatedly sent Veromi the paperwork required to have my name removed from their website. In fact, I have mailed the requested letter and proof of identity and information each month since September 2015. I have contacted them through their website, and their customer service just told me to send the requested paperwork, when I stated that nothing was being done and I could I send the documents by fax or email instead, customer service refused to respond. When I contacted them by phone I was told that the only way to get my information removed was by mail. Each time I had contact with Veromi I let them know that I am a military member and that the nature of my specific job makes it very dangerous for myself and my family members to have all of my personal information posted publically. Yes they still refuse to remove my information or acknowledge my requests to "opt-out".

This is what is posted publically

[redacted]Desired Settlement: I want my information removed from their website immediately.

Business

Response:

Please provide the URL to assist in removing the information listed. Thank you.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: there is no url link that I can give them. All it does when I click on my name or the more info selection is ask me to pay money to get the full report. The closest link I can get to a clear link is [redacted] and then scroll down to myself [redacted] I attempted every way possible to get a specific id number or link, but each link offered leads to [redacted]which is just the page that asks for money. After this page is just a check out cart. Its just a revolving door.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: I have sent in, faxed in and emailed in the required identity verification forms and removal request to veromi , to remove a my information, plus the URL web search data links , from all their companies. I have also filed identity theft with the federal trade commission and state, federal law enforcement agencies. These companies violate individuals personal privacy and publish your information, clerk of courts registries need to list what companies , buy, search or collect individuals information , because it is illegal to sell or to obtain information , then for anyone to advertise or publish without your consent, is a invasion / violation of privacy.Desired Settlement: Remove & delete all information, URL web search data links from all companies of veromi's.

Business

Response:

Please provide the url to assist us in removing this record.

Consumer

Response:

im in agreement with the resolution, as long as veromi ,holds up to their end of this agreement.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: Sent in identity verification form to have information deleted from veromi's data base companies, but instead of deleting , they have added more information , I have emailed veromi's customer service several times to remove the info even after resubmitting the signed legal verification forms and law enforcement removal form and after 3 or more months information still remains.Desired Settlement: Remove information and URL search URL links , federal trade commission removal laws apply.

Business

Response:

We are unable to locate this listing. Please provide the url.

Business

Response:

Please go to our site www.veromi.net and check to confirm that this information has already bee removed.

Consumer

Response:

checked my name on the web and also the veromi company information site , my infoinformation is no longer shown , this was supposed to be the case after sending in the required documents they ask for to remove information. They need to fully check after every removal requests. Thanks

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: Veromi.net and [redacted], for more than seven weeks now, has refused to honor their privacy opt-out policy. I first wrote them on Sept. 21, 2015 as I am involved in an identity theft situation and I fear for my safety. I supplied them with a copy of my driver's license, my signature, and a list of variations of spelling of my name, and for the past 20 years a listing of ALL my home addresses and email addresses, phone numbers, and self/home-employed business names. From what I can see, they have ADDED to their Website(s) every piece of information I supplied that they didn't have before. They took off nothing, and as a result I am even MORE fearful.Veromi appears to be under the corporate umbrella of a company called [redacted], which in turn owns or is affiliated (upon information and belief) [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] and perhaps even [redacted] and [redacted]. I fear that Veromi has also shared my confidential information with them, and I have been forced to contact all of those companies as well, regarding my privacy and safety concerns. It is not easy when Veromi also has me listed in Tucson, AZ with an age that is four years younger than my real age. And it is not easy when I have had to write both Veromi.net and Veromi.com -- which are at the same location but have different confidential information about me revealed on each Web site.Desired Settlement: [redacted]/.com should erase *all* my personal information from their business records/Web site, and any/all affiliated Web sites, including but not limited to(tell me if I'm wrong) parent company Confi-Chek and all those companies/Web sites listed in my description for this complaint, 2.) agree that my information will stay erased, and not added back at a later date on Veromi(and/or added back on later to Confi-Chek and/or any of their affiliates. Phones [redacted] and [redacted] are impt.

Business

Response:

We apologize for any inconvenience. We were unable to find the listing you are referring to with the information provided. Please provide the URL where the listing can be found or call our Customer Care team to walk a representative through how to find it.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: I need time to verify that my information has been removed. There were plenty of my records to find yesterday when I talked with a very nice woman at [redacted] I have previously sent separately mailed, very detailed opt-out letters to Veromi.COM, Veromi.Net, [redacted] -- and all of their affiliated sites such as Confi-Chek. It is frustrating for a consumer to write Veromi.com and be referred to Veromi.net, and when I call Veromi.net the people who answer the phone are with [redacted]. And they all have different Web sites with different information, even though they share the same street address. Attached is a screen shot of the Veromi.COM info that yesterday I was promised would be deleted. Veromi.COM lists 25 [redacted] entries -- and I am three (3) of them. I am entries #16, #18 and #19. I am 57 years old, but the entry for Tucson, AZ has me listed as 53 years old and seems to be linked to me via phone [redacted]. You can see from my attached letter to PeopleFinders (not my first letter to them!) to opt-out that phone number. For Johnson City, NY Peoplefinders also had me listed as [redacted] (not [redacted]). It is important to verify, going forward that my opt-out phone numbers and email addresses are also deleted. My gracious thanks to the Revdex.com and Veromi for taking the time to read this letter today. Given Veromi's promise to remove all my info from all the affiliated sites -- yes, I am very happy with that promise. What is still disconcerting for me (and hopefully my worries will be put to rest in the near future!) is the Veromi comment that my information couldn't be found on their sites yesterday. And this was clearly not the case. Many of my records still remain. It's just that (counting [redacted]) they list me as four (4) different people! And then they seem to list my phone numbers in order to cross link between 53 year old [redacted] and 57 year old [redacted], etc. I will wait to see what disappears from their sites over the next 10 business days (the length of time the nice woman yesterday asked me to wait before following up). Thank you again for your help![redacted] A [redacted]

Business

Response:

We cannot remove any names on Tracenames the customer will need to contact them. We also cannot remove any links that appear on [redacted]. we will look into the other links on People finders and Veromi that the customer states their information is still on.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: Although [redacted] appears to have fixed my listings there, the Veromi fixes are not yet complete. I am really pleased with [redacted] at Veromi, and I know she is working diligently to shepherd through the changes I have requested (my opt out privacy/safety requests). When my opt out is complete, I will gladly close this Revdex.com file with a good endorsement for Veromi. With gratitude... <my name>

Review: The complaint should simply state that the company did not fully remove my information from their website after I mailed an opt-out letter.Desired Settlement: remove my information from their website

Business

Response:

We have reviewed our files and found we received and processed an opt out request regarding your information. Upon searching the site today we did not find your information appearing in search results. Please provide the URL or directions on how to locate your information if it still appears.

Consumer

Response:

I accept this response if the business deletes the following link from their records:

Review: I have contacted Veromi.net several times over the last year 1/2, askingthat my personal information, which is posted on their website, be removed.Veromi posts information that they gather from public databases and this information can be accessed when people do an Internet search under my name. Name, age, current and former residences. In the past, I have had an issue with an individual tracking me down through websites like Veromi. It only takes a minimal amount of information for someone to locate your current residence. I have had success with other businesses/websites of this type in the removal of my information. Typically, it is a painless process, and my information is removed promptly. Not with Veromi.I have followed their procedures, printing the information page with the records I want suppressed, and mailing it to them through the USPS, along with the other information they request. I have done this three times and have also followed up with them through email. It is going on two years now and the information still remains. For the life of me, I don't know what the problem could be. Please help me with what seems to me to be a relatively easy procedure. Thank you. [redacted]Desired Settlement: I simply want my information removed from their website.

Business

Response:

Our records show that we have received and processed your opt out request. Searching today we are unable to find a listing that matches your information. Please provide the URL where this information can be found or call our Customer Care team to walk a representative through where this information can still be found. If you choose to call us we recommend asking for [redacted] (ext. [redacted]) our opt out specialist or ask for a supervisor. The information you are still may be from an indexed API feed.

Please also be aware that anytime you publicly report your information to companies and organizations, this information may be updated in public record databases and therefore will return results when doing a search for public record files.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because the information is still listed on their website.

Here is the link that leads to my information:

http://www.veromi.com/[redacted].aspx

When I wrote to Veromi, I included a print out

of the page connected to that link/site, circling the information that I wanted removed (see the info below).

It is still there as of today - 4/22/2014. I appreciate your attention to this matter. Thank you.

Review: Veromi.net is posting my private information even though I have never done business with Veromi or given out my information to third parties knowingly and for public posting. In order for me to get the information removed Veromi.net is requiring that I send them even more private information, which I disagree with doing since I have never reached out to this company before, know nothing about them, and don't trust that any additional information I send to them will not end up publicly displayed again. Shouldn't Veromi.net honor my request to remove my information from their site since I have never signed or participated with them as a consumer? I'm told that I have to send a signed letter via US Mail to remove my records from their database with additional copies of the supporting materials and a list of my former addresses going back 15 years along with my date of birth. Will Veromi.net reimburse me for the mailing and copying expenses? Again, why is the burden on me to get the info removed when it should be on Veromi.Desired Settlement: I would like my age and relationship affiliations removed from the Veromi.net site.

Review: charged me 0.95 for access to personal imformation about myself.all they gave me was address hitory.was to be a host of personal imformation to which they now want to charge a whole lot more and they will charge me another 24.95 in three days.sent them e-mail to close account and a refund to as of now havent heard back from themDesired Settlement: not really worried about a refund....but I do not want to be charged any additional charges.something needs to be done about their false advertising....offer something for one price and after paying they try to charge you more for what you thought you paid for already

Business

Response:

The only charge on the account is for $0.95. The customer cancelled the membership within the trial period, therefore they will not be billed for it. There is no active membership on the account.

Review: Veromi.net is a PeopleFinders company and is posting and selling my, and my family members personal information using data that is not public record.

I filed a compliant for the same issue, directly with Peoplefinders last year and they only removed my personal information. However they did not remove my family members' information and did not remove me from their Veromi.net site which they also operated, which is in the exact same business as Peoplefinders.com.Desired Settlement: 1. I want the personal data of the following names removed from Peoplefinders.com and their Veromi.net databases/sites:

[redacted], [redacted] 49 [redacted]

[redacted], [redacted] K 48, [redacted]

[redacted] 79 [redacted]

[redacted] 79, [redacted]

[redacted], [redacted], 99 [redacted]

[redacted], [redacted], 101 [redacted]

2. I want my name, [redacted] of [redacted] or [redacted] to be removed entirely from Peoplefinders.com and Veromi.net such that my personal information is not attached to any relative name search whatsoever. My age, nor my relatives' has ever been public information. These companies are tormenting my mother where her deceased husband's misinformation is blasted on these sites and my mother and father had unlisted, unpublished phone numbers, addresses, etc. Please communicate to Peoplefinders and Veromi that my attorney will fill a lawsuit if they do not cease and decist with publishing my and my family members' (listed above) information listed above.

3. Please note, these websites, if they offer "opt out" at all, are deceptive and sleazy in always requiring the requestor to provide even more personal information which they turn around and use/sell. Therefore, it is not an option for me to use their so called opt out options. Please know that people may require their privacy for serious reasons such as restraining orders and these sites literally put people at personal risk, which is simply wrong.

Review: [redacted]Above is the URL that comes up when you search my name. These people refuse to take my information off of their website even though most of it is wrong, and the people they have me assoiated with are people I have never met in my life and do not know. I have writtn at least five letters over the past three years and they still refuse to remove my information. My parents recently passed away and people are contacting me which is very stressful trying to purchase their property. I ask that you please contact them and ask that they remove my information. All this company does is request that you give them updated information and then they use that to update what they refuse to remove from their site. I look forward to having your organization contact them and ask that they remove this incorrect and annoying information. THank you inadvance.Desired Settlement: All I want is my name and aliases they are usinf=g taken off of their website. MOst of it is wrong, and I refuse to continue to contact them. Just remove it is all I want from this website, Very unprofessional of them to put incorrect information about people on their website. Thank you.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: I have sent them three letters over the past three years, and they still continue to keep my information on their website. What they did was update some of the information I sent to them. This ompany lies. They ask for the additional information from people who opt out because that is a way of gaining even more informtion about you. They have no intentions on removing anything. So I do not agree with what they said. Once they have the URL and I sent that to you, that's all they need to take your information down. Companies do it everyday with the URL, but this company refuses to. THey do not not need the additional information to take the information down they have posted, Very irresponsible on their part. And in my case, the information or most of it is INCORRECT.. They should at least make sure their information is correct when posting it on line.

Business

Response:

All of the information on our website is from public record databases. Every person aged 18 and older can have a public record. This information is collected on a County, City, State and federal level and can also come from reporting information during normal every day activities such as grocery store club cards, magazine subscriptions, voter registration, warranty cards, even fishing licenses, and forms you fill out when browsing the internet. There are thousands of ways this information gets reported. We are not required to remove any information from our website; however, we offer the option to as a courtesy. We are not refusing to remove your information. We will remove this information from being searched on our site once we receive your letter.

Review: I would like to file a complaint against Veromi.com/Veromi.net, which is owned by PeopleFinder.com in Sacramento, California. To opt your name from their search website, their website instructions state to send a letter to Opt-Out/Veromi.net?1821 Q Street?Sacramento, CA 95811. Although I mailed multiple requests the past few years, my requests have been ignored. Whenever I send an email I receive a template reply stating to send a letter (but I stated I already sent multiple letters) so they ignore emails that way. Recently I even paid extra money for a signature confirmation, but my request was still ignored. The company employee who signed for it is: [redacted]. The USPS tracking number is[redacted].Desired Settlement: I would like this issue resolved by them following their policy, which is to remove my name from their privacy violating reports in search engine results and on their website. I have read several complaints regarding the same issue. Perhaps you could recommend a different method for opting out, such as sending an email since the person who receives snail mail is not the job. They actually have my name on their website twice spelled under 2 different names: [redacted]

Business

Response:

We apologize for any inconvenience. We have suppressed several additional listings as of today that seemed to match your information. Please allow 24-48 hours for this to reflect online. We want to make sure you are aware that anytime you publicly report your information to companies and organizations, this information may be updated in public record databases and therefore will return results when doing a search for public record files. If you see your name appear on our site again you will need to notify us so we can remove it.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: It has been over 48 hours, and my information still has not been deleted from your website and search engines. Attached is a screenshot of how it shows on your website. Please not the possible AKA's section because there is an entry for my name under each aka or misspelling of my last name.

Sincerely,
