rejecting this response because: why should I pay for pieces of plywood that only cost There is something wrong with that pictureThe plywood should have not been purchased without my consent to agree with that in the first placeWhen I returned home from the doctor the plywood had been purchased and I have no proof that the plywood was actually put on the roofSo I am not in agreement with

WE WERE THINKING NEED 18 PCS BEFORE BUT WE ONLY CHANGE 15PCS...
WE CHARGE  $50/SHEET OF PLYWOOD.. SO WE CAN CHANGE THE PRICE TO $700.

My husband signed a contract with Vertex in August 2015 with an estimate based off the insurance adjuster's estimate. The work was completed and was okay, used cheap materials. I received the final invoice, and paid them the remaining balance on the invoice. A few weeks later, one of their personnel came back to my home, telling me that I still owed them $1000. My husband and I argued how is that possible? We paid you the remaining balance shown on the invoice. The owner called that night and again said we still owe them $1000. I tell him I'm not paying that, I already paid the remaining balance on the invoice. In April 2016, the owner shows up at my home, and says we still owe him $1000. He doesn't bring a copy of the invoice, just keeps telling me to look at my copy of the invoice. My husband and I are extremely frustrated at this point but I review the invoice over and over, and finally figure out that their office made an error, and entered $1000 more than what our initial deposit was. I was extremely irritated that they did not take the time to own up to their mistake and explain it to me. They just expected me to figure out their error and pay them. We did give them the check for the remaining amount but the whole experience was incredibly frustrating. Would never do business with them again.
