We appreciate [redacted] letting us know about the response he received from [redacted] We are shocked to hear [redacted] 's response, as it is a direct contradiction to what we have been told by both [redacted] Data and [redacted] In addition, their response is factually incorrect and bordering on slander and libel In no way, shape, or form does Vertex engage in any sort of phishing scam as purported by [redacted] The data we obtain from [redacted] Data does indeed come from [redacted] , for the sole purpose of contacting consumers in an effort to help them accomplish their goals relative to their home mortgage As detailed in our previous correspondence, from time to time the information we receive from [redacted] Data (via [redacted] ) contains some incorrect data For the states in which our firm does business, we mail more than 15,letter per week and less than people per week contact us and tell us the information contained in the letter is incorrect, an error rate of less than 0.067% While we strive for a 0.00% error rate, it is statistically impossible to achieve that rate since we rely on [redacted] to compile the data. With respect to [redacted] ***'s situation, we are in contact with both [redacted] Data and [redacted] in an effort to obtain tangible answers We are as perplexed as [redacted] ***, and both he and we deserve an answer from [redacted] I cannot promise a response within days, but we will make every effort to get an answer as quickly as possible

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I just contacted [redacted] per Vertex Financial"s response and they informed me that they do not give out information and that the letter I received was probably a "fishing letter" trying to get me to respond and provide them with my personal information Sincerely, [redacted] ***

[redacted] telephoned our office last week and left a voice message stating the information in our letter was incorrect, and that he was going to file a complaint with the Revdex.com Unfortunately, he did not identify himself nor did he provide us with any identifying information so we could delete him from our database Had [redacted] asked us to explain where we obtained the information contained in our letter, we would have been happy to explain it to him in detail, as well as remove him from our database so he never receives another letter from us To answer [redacted] ***’s questions, the information contained in our letter was obtained from a data-marketing company, [redacted] based in [redacted] **, and they obtain the data directly from [redacted] From time to time situations like this occurs, where [redacted] provides [redacted] , and in turn our firm, erroneous information We assure both [redacted] and the Revdex.com that no data breach, identity theft, or invasion of privacy has occurred Somewhere in [redacted] ’s massive data structure they must have incorrectly cross-referenced [redacted] ***’s name with a mortgage, and the cross-referenced information was eventually passed down to our firm We are not attempting to con or deceive anyone as [redacted] suggests, nor are we making any illicit attempts to conjure up informationThe issue boils down to a clerical/compiling error by [redacted] and nothing more Because the root of the issue lies solely in [redacted] ’s database, we suspect that in addition to receiving a solicitation from our firm, [redacted] has most likely received similar erroneous solicitations from other companies The only way [redacted] can permanently stop receiving solicitations from other companies is to contact [redacted] directly Until he does, the erroneous information about him will continue to be sold by [redacted] to other companies We suggest that [redacted] contact [redacted] directly either by telephone at [redacted] between 7:30am -4:30pm CT Monday thru Friday, or by email at [redacted] Whether or not [redacted] chooses to contact [redacted] , because his name and address are included in the communication we received from the Revdex.com, we located him in our marketing database, he has permanently been deleted, and will never receive another letter from us A cornerstone of our firm is honesty and integrity, and we go to great lengths to be ethical in every aspect of our business We apologize that this situation occurred, and hope that the Revdex.com and [redacted] understand that the crux of the issue lies with [redacted] , not Vertex We welcome any additional questions that either the Revdex.com or [redacted] may have

We appreciate [redacted] letting us know about the response he received from [redacted].  We are shocked to hear [redacted]'s response, as it is a direct contradiction to what we have been told by both [redacted] Data and [redacted].  In addition, their response is factually incorrect and bordering on slander and libel.  In no way, shape, or form does Vertex engage in any sort of phishing scam as purported by [redacted].  The data we obtain from [redacted] Data does indeed come from [redacted], for the sole purpose of contacting consumers in an effort to help them accomplish their goals relative to their home mortgage.  As detailed in our previous correspondence, from time to time the information we receive from [redacted] Data (via [redacted]) contains some incorrect data.  For the 12 states in which our firm does business, we mail more than 15,000 letter per week and less than 10 people per week contact us and tell us the information contained in the letter is incorrect, an error rate of less than 0.067%.  While we strive for a 0.00% error rate, it is statistically impossible to achieve that rate since we rely on [redacted] to compile the data. With respect to [redacted]'s situation, we are in contact with both [redacted] Data and [redacted] in an effort to obtain tangible answers.  We are as perplexed as [redacted], and both he and we deserve an answer from [redacted].  I cannot promise a response within 7 days, but we will make every effort to get an answer as quickly as possible.
