These people were very upsetting and troubling to deal withI have tried to stay positive and not say negative things about them.For one, who would just arbitrarily send me money? Obviously I had many meetings and phone calls with them and sent them the necessary documentation before they sent me any money.During the many conversations I had with them sometimes I would deal with the wife and sometimes I would deal with the husbandEach time they would tell me something different and tell me they were the one that was going to handle communication.Before I was supposed to start their project I got delayed on the existing project I was working onI kept them informed and had many conversations with themWhen I was ready to do the project in the fall they decided to have me waitI continued to try to stay in contact with them and was not receiving return calls or messagesThey delayed me for months until I finally reached them in the springThey then told me they didn’t want to proceed with the project because they hired another contractor to work on their house and he told them they needed to work on the inside first, which makes no sense when your roof is leaking that you would work on the inside of your house.I told them I would charge them for my time and I would try to get rid of the materials I purchasedIt took me a year to get rid of the material and I refunded them a large portion of their deposit.At no point did I ever tell them anything was free or that I would do anything for free.The general contractor that I was going to work with on the job told me these people had a history of playing games, which I wish he had told me in the beginning
