Verve Wellness LLC is a hair salon in Pittsburgh [redacted] was a new client to Verve on 8/3/She purchased a manicure on 7/and then booked for hair on 8/Her goal was to drastically modify the color of her hair to better match her hair of years agoThe technician who performed the service (Dakota S***) conducted a thorough consult before beginning the serviceShe explained to the client that it would not be possible to achieve her goals in sittingIt often takes many stages to correctly and healthily drastically change hair colorClients often want drastic results quickly and cheaplyOur technician was very clear in her consultation regarding what would be required for the desired results [redacted] was with Dakota for over hours on 8/When she left she took after photos, voiced zero complaints and paid for her service and tipped with her credit cardThis is proof and evidence that she received the service she was promised [redacted] then within hours decided to visit another hair salon to complain about the workThe other salon allegedly told her that she should ask for her money backShe called us and asked for her money back the next day without contacting us first about the workOur policy and the common policy in the industry is that we are more than willing to have a client back to fix or adjust work that they find unsatisfactoryUnfortunately, in this case, the client had others work on her hair within hours so there is no way for us to know if she is telling the truthThis is a multi stage processThe client was aware of this and this is a clear case of her wanting double the work for half of the cost without giving us the chance to review the work.Sent on: 8/30/10:49:AM

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have received no offer to resolve the matter and a repose that basically accuses me, the customer as liarThe only mistake I made was paying for the service at the time I left, but I was not able to tell what an awful job had been done on my hairYes, she did take after pictures, which were not shown to me, nor was the back of hair shown via a mirror, so I had no idea how bad my hair looked until I was in better lighting with a better viewFurther, I was NEVER told it would take two sessions to provide the highlights I desired, Dakota's words were "challenged accepted", well it she failed. The photo was not years old and I had my colored within the past years, so I am not sure how we know the stylist is being honest or telling the truth. I have hesitated to post the attached pictures that were taken at another salon prior to having the mess she made corrected, because my goal is not to ruin anyone's reputation, I just want my money back because I didn't even get close to what I paid forI am looking into contacting the Attorney General if this matter is not resolved to my satisfactionFurther the policy they are standing on has no merit when it is not posted or made clear at the time of serviceLegally, they can offer to correct the color, but if they are unable to do so, which they weren't, I am entitled to my money backCustomer is always, Business 101, maybe they should have a salon manger that actually could preform the services she is writing and enforcing policies about.I want a refund, period

the service (Dakota S[redacted]) conducted a thorough consult before beginning the service. She explained to the client that it would not be possible to achieve her goals in 1 sitting. It often takes many stages to correctly and healthily drastically change hair color. Clients often want drastic results quickly and cheaply. Our technician was very clear in her consultation regarding what would be required for the desired results. [redacted] was with Dakota for over 3.5 hours on 8/3. When she left she took after photos, voiced zero complaints and paid for her service and tipped with her credit card. This is proof and evidence that she received the service she was promised. [redacted] then within 24 hours decided to visit another hair salon to complain about the work. The other salon allegedly told her that she should ask for her money back. She called us and asked for her money back the next day without contacting us first about the work. Our policy and the common policy in the industry is that we are more than willing to have a client back to fix or adjust work that they find unsatisfactory.
